  1. Yeah, Nelson would be my choice too.
  2. I was going to start a new thread but I'll just mention what's on my mind in this one. If we all put down our Ram Goggles and looked at it objectively, just how good are our players in truth? How many of those who are usually in the matchday squad would we consider to be genuinely good enough for a top-two team in this league? And of those, how many would command a regular starting place in even just a lower mid-table Championship side? In my opinion it isn't that many, even for the top-two in our division. Bird certainly, Cashin, Wildsmith and Vickers probably, Nelson, Wilson, NML and Nyambe possibly. I hold hopes for some of the younger lads too, especially Thompson. The remainder though wouldn't, again in my opinion, be starting many (or indeed any) games for a Championship club that isn't on its arse (hello Wendies) or a top two L1 side. That includes regular starters for us like Fozzy, Hourihane, Barkhuizen, Collins, Waghorn, Washington and Smith. As for Sibley, who knows what his true level is? I'm not sure anybody does and that seems to include several Derby managers. So what's your point caller? Dunno really. I suppose it's that our squad is still unbalanced and basically isn't any better than our league position suggests it is.
  3. I agree. Whatever is decided by Angie, David or the forum as a whole, I'm sure we'll all get behind it. That's what Daniel was all about after all.
  4. Top fan. Great fella. Inspirational without trying to be. Responsible for countless divorces but we'll gloss over that. I won't be there for the Bristol Rovers match but will applaud on my own whilst watching Rams TV. Edit: what was "mentile shutters" at Fulham supposed to be?
  5. Well that's desperately sad news. Love to the family. I hope they know how much Daniel's enthusiasm for the Rams made this forum smile.
  6. Apparently there's some doubt over who gets officially credited with the third goal. Forsyth is adamant it's his, claiming it on the basis that it was over the line before Collins got there. I can see this being a boner contention.
  7. I've always thought he was Irish tbh.
  8. Good news. We're getting there with the Academy.
  9. I know you weren't being serious BV but did you know Collins has 13 senior international caps already?
  10. Is Bardell fit? I wonder if we'll see any of Jeffcott, Robinson, Radcliffe or Brown starting. Any other likely young uns to play?
  11. Any updates on a possible return for Liam?
  12. Based on one 90 minute appearance which I saw at first hand, plus the fact he seems to score regularly, I'm going to suggest the lad at Morecambe (Mellon) as an ideal signing. He's on loan to them from Burnley.
  13. Dajaune Brown must surely start on Wednesday.

  15. I'm going to go against the grain here and suggest it's our final cross which has been our downfall here. The overall football hasn't been too bad imo. Also, the ref has been excellent and has let the game flow as well as any ref I've seen all season.

  17. Thanks for making an effort with the thread @S8TY. A poor performance and/or result and the atmosphere could become unpleasant. Fingers crossed we put in a much improved display involving passing the ball on the ground and overall control. My preferred 18: (no chance of it I know) Wildsmith Nyambe Nelson Bradley Forsyth Fornah Bird Hourihane NML Barkhuizen Brown (Vickers, Jeffcott, Sibley, Smith, Ward, Wilson, Collins) I know it's been discussed elsewhere about the gap between U21 level and L1 but I fail to see the harm in at least trying Dajaune Brown up top. He is guaranteed to offer more pace and mobility than the other options and basically can't be much worse than Collins or Washington. The potential upside though, both in terms of actual overall team performance and a boost to the fans' enthusiasm levels, is significant enough to justify giving the young lad a crack.

  19. I guess so. I'm pinning my hopes on him being the 'new' Studger.
