This still smacks of extortion. Mel is obviously now not popular with Rams Fans quite rightly. But he owes Gibson nothing, so why should he pay him anything? If Mel still has the wealth to forgo £7-10 million...why would he give hit to Gibson? The stadium sale is no longer an issue as it was deemed by the EFL to be ok and the valuation to be accurate. What the owner (Mel) does with the stadium is NOTHING to do with Gibson. If he wants to gift it to Derby he can, If he wants to sell at a figure to pay off MSD he can, If he wants to rent it to the new owner he can...it has F All to do with Gibson.

I posted this on the 29th of January...Not a bad detective aye
MM takes on the EFL where TV revenue was agreed, MM with I think the support of Leeds and Villa critisize the EFL for selling all 72 clubs short, In other words a shambolic agreement with Sky, The EFL in their opinion got the best deal they could, Battle lines have been drawn, Parry takes the helm at the EFL and replaces Jevans, Ridsdale jumps aboard the good ship venus and conclude the Sky deal done and dusted.
Maguire has consistantly been rebuffed by the EFL concerning DCFCs accounts, Parry and co look into these and see something that looks a little iffy, They request past accounts and up to date accounts, Hhhmmm they say things don't look to rosey down at Pride Park you're given a transfer emargo, Investigation concludes we fail P&S and a 9 point deduction with 3 points suspended and found guilty of a minor infraction of amortisation ie not quite innocent of the explaining of the accounting method and fined £100,000, EFL appeal and told to do one, EFL say they are disappointed with the outcome but accept, MM puts DCFC into Administration with a further 12 points deduction totaling -21 points.
In the meantime Boro send a document to the EFL saying we will go after you(the EFL)but we will drop any action if you go after DCFC, They decide DCFC are on their knees relegation is a certainty league 1 is only a step away, Holy shyte DCFC are making a fist of it, Could they possibley gain on those above, A plan is needed to stop this, Parry reverts to the Boro document and assembles the Coven, DCFCs admin are close to annoncing a PB, How can the EFL blow that rescue pontoon that DCFC have built, Talks between the EFL and Boro are coming to fruition but need a fairy godmother to rubber stamp their plan, Come on down WW, They get involved as a makeweight so fingers are not just pointing at the EFL and Boro.
EFL and Admin meet to discuss and anounce the PB, EFL play their joker, Boro/WW are creditors, Holy duck say the Admin, Our PB will not accept that, We're unable to confirm what we have told our manager WR, Someone has not just moved the goalposts but dug them up and thrown them away, WR is spitting blood, Derby fans worldwide are very angry, The EFL/Boro and WW are like a Cheshire cat which got the cream, DCFC still can't sign anyone, Have to unload players who are only on 6 month contracts, Their cash is coming to an end, They will have to sell more or come up with £5m for DCFC to complete the season or COULD LOSE their membership of the EFL.
The shyte has hit the fan in a very big way, Boro and WW owners are going on the offensive, The EFL say we know nowt as we are not in talks with either of those 2 clubs, DCFC fans, MPs, Celebs, Councillors, Businesses and Uncle Tom Cobley and all get involved on saving DCFC, Meetings galore this last 2 weeks appear to be going in DCFCs way, The BBC have woken up, Gary Neville speaks out, The National press get involved, Martin Samual does a great report in the Mail.
The EFL appear to be shocked, Gibson releases a statement that is now in the hands of MI5 to decipher, Couhig goes on radio Derby and talks and talks, The interviewer mooches off for a coffee comes back to find Couhig still talking, Then Ed says thankyou for that and ends the interview.
Timelines may be a little ascue...but I hope you get the gist.
Non of the above could have happened without the 3 parties being intouch with eachother...hence the big "C"

MFC have issued a statement, surprisingly they agree with the EFL that their claim is a football debt.
    https://www.mfc.co.uk/news/mfc-response-to-efl-statement-on-Derby-county
Once I got past all the drivel, this bit at the end stuck out……
A significant focus of MFC’s claim against Derby County relates to the sale of Derby County’s stadium and the belief that it was done in a way which manipulated the Profit and Sustainability Rules.
The valuation of PP has been accepted by the LAP/DC, the EFL didn’t appeal this and MFCs original claim for £40M on the basis of the stadium was rejected by the LAP in October 2020.  Surely, if the basis of the claim is the same, they’re playing into the admins hands?  Perhaps @Brailsford Ram can advise as you seem knowledgable in this area?

On radio Derby this morning Chris Coles said one of the options is that Mel Morris could take on the M & W claims himself therefore would free up the situation enabling a preferred bidder to take over.
If he is correct then surely this would be the best route to take and Mel would get to rub Gibsons nose in it at court and make him pay all the costs. Or is it not as simple as that?

We really need to stop arguments like this.  Fees for administrators is quite tightly controlled (legally). There are processes in place for creditors to contest what they're being paid if they feel it's unacceptable (since the admins fees are eating into any potential repayment that creditors might receive).  And even beyond all the legal aspects of it, the last thing Quantuma want is a reputation for not being able to do their job very well and dragging out the process.
All of the insinuations that the admins are mucking about are coming from outside entities that just want to sow discord amongst us.  We need to keep our eyes on the real enemies here.

Can’t agree. This would instantly legitimise their claim. That would be insane Jimbo. They would just say that Derby have accepted they “cheated” and paid compensation. Mediation as suggested by the EFL is just a posh way of saying you have to give the parasites some of f your money. Extortion.

I've asked him to join up on here and you can see what he's doing on Twitter @Simon Whetton.

Our biggest asset in many ways is our supporters. This whole war of attrition really undermines our morale and willingness to keep up the fight. That's why the Parasites just sit tight, do nothing and wait for the resistance to end. They sort of starve us into submission with the full knowledge and support of the governing body.
What would an independent Football Authority do? I suspect there main priority would be to ensure "rules" are aligned with Laws

If we're talking about direct action why don't we buy Wycombe tickets enmasse (1,000 or so) sing pro Derby songs and invade the pitch at half time for a protest?  It's a small ground so 1,000 at Wycombe would look a lot more impressive than at Boro or the efl headquarters. It's ambitious and very left field but I think we need to start having an effect on both of these clubs to put pressure both on them and the efl to drop their ridiculous claims.

I wonder how many clubs would have a claim against QPR, and for how much, if an EFL panel rules that we do in fact owe Middlesbrough cash and sets an incredibly dangerous precedent.
Us? For half the supposed premiership windfall? The team they beat in the semi-final? Do they get a quarter? What about the team who finished seventh? Any team that can "prove" QPR's results against them had an effect on them - ie how did the relegated and nearly-relegated teams do against QPR?
Did QPR sign any players during that time that other clubs can prove they were pursuing? Have those players since been sold for a profit?
What kind of total bill are we looking at here?
Does the EFL specify some sort of time-limit on these claims in its rules? If not, why can't we pursue them now, or at whatever point we feel like it in the future?
How do we formalise how we quantify the points loss to the "affected" teams? Is a £1million overspend equivalent to one unearned league point, for example? And are we just going to make that up on the hoof at an EFL hearing, or shouldn't we actually agree it between the clubs first?
And do the points deductions get adjusted or is this some additional penalty on top of the one we thought we had all agreed?
    It's an absolute mess.

That assumes that Mel is asking for a payment for the stadium. It is very possible that he intends to gift PP back to the club once the MSD loan had been settled.

I really am fed up of it all now. The very heart and future of the club is being stripped away bit by bit player but player with no end in sight. All I see is incompetence and inconsideration from all sides. Throughout all this who is actually considering what this is doing to the fans. More proof if it is needed that football no longer cares for the fans, the very fabric of the game. ???
