Tbh I tend to agree. I love some to and fro between supporters but some fans when we go away, and we were next to some again last night, seem more intent on just abusing the home fans than they are of supporting their team. I'm in the south stand and cringe when we're at home and it's the "you're support is..." or "you're in the shadow of....". Must be my age.

@Ellafella - have seen your post in the ratings thread and will see what I can do. I just don't want to look as if I'm taking credit for something that was a joint club/Supporters Charter Group initiative so hadn't mentioned I was doing it.
I would like to think we should all be doing something to educate the fans who think it's okay to take a swipe at Liverpool fans who rightly feel a great injustice over how the tragedy happened and was then covered up over many years. Pointing out Liverpool fans themselves have been in the wrong on other occasions is no defence. There's a small minority of 'fans' at every club who do this, on a huge variety of themes. Generally we put up with it when we should all be as outraged as Liverpool fans are, imo.
It's like our basic humanity disappears in the mob mentality of the crowd.

Operation Phileas Fogg in full swing, we are here on Merseyside, spent the afternoon in the Cavern club (well you have to) Checked in the Crown Plaza for two days, given a nice upgrade to an ocean suite, back out on the town in a while.

There’s a car park at a sports centre next to Lower Breck FC about 10 minute walk from the ground. It costs about £9 but is a proper car park with security, not just a grass verge. If you go park on the left as you go in at the front as it makes it a lot easier to get out!

Waited until today to post as I was seething after the match tbh. Thanks so much for @Bossfor the tickets as besides the game me and my gf had a cracking time in Lincoln.  The performance was utterly abject from first to last, mistakes littered the game but tactically Rosenior is either blind or stubborn at this point. I said a couple of weeks ago we were making chances and it was bad luck but I now feel there are systemic issues hindering us. There is absolutely no urgency playing out the back and once a team presses us we look decidedly nervous and are almost bound to make an error. Wildsmith's distribution is also absolutely shocking and needs working on asap.
In the middle playing both Bird and Hourihane is suicide, both ball players who lack any bite or willingness to track their man or contribute in any way besides spraying slow 10-20 yard passes back and sidewards.  Someone mentioned Bird might be wanting to talk to his agent, well given his start to the season I wouldn't care one bit if he did. It isn't helped by the lack of quality out wide, NML can't cross or finish to save his life (no consistency at all in whether he pings, balloons or gets the ball in the middle at all and misses too many chances) Dobbin too often tries to dribble and looses it and Barkhauzen can't finish. Collins isn't being used properly so I don't want to blame him too much and the service he's getting is horribly inconsistent.
Our slow tempo, dubious quality, and lack of cohesion are creating a team that are too easy to defend and attack against. Our midfield lacks shape and a willingness and ability to actually contribute defensively leaving the defence over exposed. We've seen this in a lot of games this season and it's partly why Cashin is making so many last ditch challenges. The slow tempo, lack of a central outlet for a ball in the final third and poor quality out wide are all contributing to a lack of clear chances and clinical finishing against teams who decide they're going to sit in and close down hard against us.

It's embarrassing to lose and put in a performance that deserved nothing against a team struggling at the bottom of division 3. There is no other word for it, utterly embarrassing and I hope the players and staff woke up this morning feeling quite ashamed that this has happened. Yes, every team we play against will give an extra 10% and so will their fans because we're not Sutton United. But the fact that we are Derby County needs to be a reminder to every single player to not only give everything in the shirt but demand a certain level of performance that we ultimately expect of them. Last night was not good enough, Plymouth was not good enough, Shrewsbury was not good enough. We need to get our heads out of our collective ar*** and demand better.

Very disappointing, but understandable. I have just cancelled my train, so  a tenner down the drain. Feel sorry for those that will lose more with overnight accommodation. Hopefully I will be able to make the re-arranged date, but will probably have to drive now.

She most definitely does deserve a huge mark of respect.
I don't think cancelling football games is really a mark of respect.
Playing the games with players on the halfway line singing God save the Queen with full stadiums joining in is a much more fitting mark of respect.

It's all the way to Liverpool midweek to watch Derby against the Liverpool U21s, so I'd expect there will be plenty of tickets to go around. It's not a bad draw because it should give DC a decent payday which will help towards the running expenses of the club, and because of the likely Liverpool team (proximity to the World Cup) we will stand a decent chance of making the next round.
I'm surprised by some of the comments in the thread. People forget that now is the best time in all of human history to be alive. Everywhere was a dump in the 1970s. Liverpool, Derby, London. They're all way better now and this will likely be a great evening out for everyone who goes (result-dependent of course).

My favourite city to go out in, been many a time now. Didn't see any shell suits, still had our wheels attached, never seen a whiff of trouble.
Did get our bus bricked coming away from Goodison Park once though in the Jim Smith years.
Like any city, has it's problems, certain areas are best avoided, but for a night out there isn't many if any better.

Though obvious, It's worth pointing out that what you experience as a general visitor/tourist will usually be very different to what you may have experienced as a visiting football supporter, certainly in the 1968-1990 period. Experiences stay with people, good and bad. I've had few experiences bad enough to dislike anywhere particularly, and certainly not in Liverpool, but I've come across nobheads everywhere. Good people though tend to outnumber bad people in most places.
