On the GK suggestions - are any of these good with the ball at their feet? One of my favourite aspects of how we played last season was Allsop playing a high line and his distribution. I know a few people hated us playing that way and would welcome a return to solid shot stopping and playing the percentages but I thought after a bedding in period this was one of the more successful aspects of the Rooney era.

The Curtis Davies stance is interesting. During the season I always thought he was respectful to Wayne but more bought into Rosenior. That isn’t me rewriting history and is definitely something I always picked up on. I get the wipe the slate clean mentality but I think there is some continuity value of using these two as a driving force of what was and what could be

I’m disappointed Wayne has left but this doesn’t outweigh the positive news on the new ownership front.
I really like Rosenior but I think we should weigh up our options, this will be one of the most pivotal decisions made this century regarding DCFC.

On another note has Rosenior known about this since the CK deal fell through? As mentioned not only has he turned down Blackpool but his Dad was doing a bit of PR on Sky for him stating his affinity for the club etc.. More often than not there is always something behind such things

As the squad are due back for preseason on the 27th,  I suppose it’s unlikely we will get to hear Wayne Rooney’s thoughts until he’s back in the ‘building’ but would be good to know if he will be the man laying the first bricks on the Clowse foundations …..

Agreed, and I think it would be better if people viewed his/hers/theres posts as such, and left them to their own devices.
No need to call them out, it prolongs the experience.

For what it’s worth I think One Chop is dong what he does for self amusement and is playing his role like a method actor who has totally immersed himself in his role (I think there could be a few others on here at the game as well). We’re all different and I get his posts might rile a few folk but the timing of his over exaggerated prophecies of doom have been perfectly executed from a subtle gallows humour point of view.
