Could they find anyone with less credibility.

I will say there are aspects of Johnsons deal that I, as a leave, wont like. The defence giveaways in particular.
But like the majority of this country I just want this to be bought to a conclusion. I'll read the finer details before nailing my flag, but I think he's bought back a winner here. Fair play to him.

If Red Bull invested, I bet that we'd be pushing into the top half of the Premier League within five years. They also have a policy of investing in young players.
However, if they wanted to change our name then I'm sure it would be a big no-no from the majority of the fanbase.

I guess the clue was that Lamps was so keen to sign him. Didn't he say he was his number 1 target and Lamps knows a thing or two about MF's.
Think Cocu's natural preference is for footballing midfielders, technical players like Huddz, which probably explains why SHinnie has had to wait for his chance. Also, the Shinnie we saw today was a different beast to admittedly limited opportunities prior to now. He's always shown some energy and he won every challenge seemingly today but he is no clogger. He looks decent with the ball too and will have given Cocu plenty to think about.
Slightly off thread but likewise Paterson who is also starting to show really good form now he's getting more gametime. Some good sign all in all.

Just gone through this thread. I'll never be able to work out if I go to the same Derby County games as others.
I thought that was a massively improved performance and we were extremely comfortable. Martin had a poor game, but a few accurate passes and we would have had more.
We kept possession well in defence, were patient and looked in control. So why do our fans have heart attacks when we do it, its bizarre.
And as for Shinnie? Seth Johnson is back.

After all the recent bad news that’s been around, and lots of people losing there love of the club and announcing they’re stopping watching the team, I thought I’d post my support.
Unfortunately for some, I’m not stopping going to Pride Park, and I’m definitely not quitting my sofa for away games either.
I’m not quitting the Forum either, as Daveo would be heart broken, (watch him deny it)
    So, who’s with me?

Van Gritters reacted to Mucker1884 in how to claim on plumbers liability insurance?
Can you even make a claim on someone else's insurance?  Surely that's there for if he needs it?  He's the one who pays the premium.
You send him the bill... or the quote, if you don't trust him, and want it paying up front... and he decides whether he put's his hand in his own pocket, or get's his insurance to pay up.
Of course, you could claim off your own insurance.  They'd get it back through him... or his insurer's, but obviously that would entail you making a claim, so could well affect future premiums, and almost certainly an excess to pay.
Option one seems best... send him the bill/quote!

I could be way off the mark though... it wouldn't be the first time!

These posts make me despair. The media's not very interested in Nothern Ireland so for many years hasn't reported the violence that goes on. Until Brexit and then it leaps on the idea because it can blame Brexit for terrorism. The latest groups formed in 2012 and have been bombing and killing people since and even they've said it's got zero to do with Brexit.
People weaponizing the Irish border and stoking up fears as if there could ever be the slightest smidgen of justification for using this as an excuse to turn to violence is really a terrible thing to do. Happily, when you talk to young people in the north they say it's a totally different country and there will be no rise in the low level of violence that will always persist until we change the education system and integrate kids from the different communities and they discover, shock horror, that these people they've been taught to hate are actually just the same as them.

I would be happy with steady improvement and effort for now.
I'm rather disillusioned with a lot of things at the moment, and even just a couple of years ago if anyone had said to me that I would stop going to Derby's away games, let alone giving up my season ticket and then packing up going to home games, I would have denied that was possible, given my history. But that's where I am now, hoping that something occurs to rekindle my enthusiasm.

Gemill vs Forest FA Cup 1983
Huge game huge goal, it was dark years for us and F***** were still a top team. I was too young to remember the Clough years, so it was odd to see the "It's Clough V Taylor" headlines when the draw was made. When the teams ran out it felt like the second half as we had been singing so long.
Shane Nicholson Vs FA Cup Sheff Wed 1993
I was at the back of the popside so this shot disapeared behind the Ley stand mid flight, before reappearing and going in to my absolute delight.
    Marriott vs Leeds playoff winner
This was magical, I'm glad I didn't go to the pub it would have got a bit hairy as it would have been full of Leeds, and I would have been unable to moderate my celebration.
I just rewatched it and became very sad with Keogh's assist, he is still a legend although it is dented and tarnished now. I can't disown him, and need him rehabilitated.
