I am with you on this one LR,Derby are going up and Burton are staying up,why so much vitriol for Burton ?

I don't mind Burton. They're a small outfit and they have punched above their weight which is good to see. Unfortunately it looks like back down to league 2 for them. Hopefully they'll have a go and get out the division. 

I only found out, courtesy of a Radio 5 programme yesterday that Nottingham was originally called Snotengaham.
Around 600 AD, the Snotingas gave their name to the settlements of Nottingham, which were first recorded as 'Snotengaham' or literally 'the homestead of Snot's people. ' Over the years, the city's name was gradually modified until it became known as Nottingham around the 12th century.
How fabulous! I think we should start a petition to have it returned to its much more appropriate and traditional name.

I believe that with us now sitting on 86 points, we have set a new Club record for most points in a season.
When we end the season on 92 points, we’d have broken our previous record by 7 whole points. Not bad going at all!

Have to remember next season whatever league were it’ll be our first in as long as i can remember without any embargo, restrictions or strict efl business plan.
Im not expecting us to be reckless, but the simple fact is were one of the best supported clubs outside the premiership, hell the country.
im expecting a bit of an overhaul, theyll be plenty of players if derby county come knocking theyll answer our call.. play infront of 30 thousand … we aint going to struggle to attract better players next year, regardless of where we are.
within our own budget that said, im not expecting us to spend millions again, but we can be shrewd

Before others go off on tonight's matchthread tangent, I just wanted to say what an enjoyable afternoon at Pride Park. A cracking atmosphere, good football and a deserved win. 
I  had assumed Warne would revert to a back three, simply because it allows Sibley and Wilson to get forward more. I thought both were excellent,  but it was the inclusion of Thommo that made all the difference.  It gave us a midfield three with tenacity and bite. As a result, all the other parts of the team played better than midweek. Collins, especially,  looked so much better in the role today, and although Mendez-Laing's traditional wing play is sacrificed in this formation, he managed to get out wide at times, delivered good set pieces and could have had a couple of goals on the break.
Although I loved the set-piece goals, I do wish we could finish some of our chances created in open play, as it would do our confidence the world of good. 
Still, the defence was excellent,  snuffing out the few chances that Orient created, and providing the goals, too. 
It was difficult to choose a MOTM today as there are so many contenders. 
And as Warne said afterwards, no further injuries. 
Results went our way so automatic promotion is back in our hands. Play like this for the last two games and we are there!

Made both goals today as Gateshead beat Macclesfield 2-1 to seal a return to Wembley (Gateshead lost last year to Halifax in the final).

I used to work for a German company,Bayer Leverkusen,and went to Cologne on an induction course,my father told me to look at the cathedral as he sang in an English choir when he was at school,and told me of the massive columns supporting the roof and how many children linking hands it took to surround one pillar.All that area was obliterated by english bombs in the second world war,but the bomb aimers left the cathedral untouched,hows that for accuracy.

The Manchester manager Jose Morinho flies to Khabul to watch a young Afgan boy play football,he is suitably impressed and asks the young boy to come over to Manchester.Two weeks later Manchester are 2.0 down to Watford with only 20 minuites left,Morinho gives the nod and the young lad is on the pitch.He is a sensation and scores 3 times in the last 20 minuites as United win 3.2.The fans,coaches and manager love their new star.When the player comes off the pitch to tell his mum about his first game for United,he tells her how he scored 3 goals and tht everybody loved him at Old Trafford."just wonderfull" his mum said,let me tell you about my day,your father got shot in the street,your sister and I got ambushed and assaulted,she would have been raped if a policeman hadn't seen what was happening,and your brother has joined a gang of looters and set fire to some buildings.The young lad is very upset and says to his mother I am really sorry.Sorry! sorry!,its your bloody fault we came to Manchester in the first place.
