If this turns out to be true then the club need to bring in some advisors. We are clearly developing an awful lot of talent and we need to put a stop to these players being poached for pennies. It's simply not good enough.

Some nice high-res colour pics starting to come through now. There's a press conference that'll be on NASA TV later tonight which might even have video of the landing!

Very big week ahead. Will be happy with 4 points, but i'd like us to be Gung Ho for all 6.

I understand our current situation keeping him out. But that's also an argument to play him as he's the only player who can bag a brace out of nowhere.
The best place for him to learn, as with any young player, is playing in the first team.
I'm starting to grow concerned over the handling of both Sibley and Bird.
Bird is not a DM. Sibley needs to play.

Waghorn has been pretty bad since he's returned. Constantly losing the ball or making poor passes. He's not contributing much at all right now.

It's a really good point (kind of!).  Most of the community that thinks about the risk of Human extinction wants to avoid alerting extraterrestrials to our presence at this moment in time. We need to become a much more robust interstellar civilization before we could be more confident of surviving such an encounter, given the history of civilizations encountering others here on Earth with just a small technological headstart. So METI (messaging extraterrestrial intelligence) is officially banned but it's hard to enforce.
On the surface of Mars we're only talking microbes and potential evidence of former complex plants animals, from the time earlier in Martian history when it had a thicker atmosphere and seems to have been warmer and with significant surface water (rivers/lakes/seas). If there are plants  or more complex life there now, it will be underground where there are sealed lakes for instance (these form very interesting ecosystems on earth). But we're not going there this mission. So our dogs and cats are likely safe for now.
When he was younger, Elon Musk had a plan to send a greenhouse to Mars to see how well the plants survived, and put a crew of mice in a space capsule spinning to replicate Martian gravity. Nowadays his plans are more ambitious but longer term.
But as @Rampagepoints out, this mission is collecting samples to return to Earth. It seems a little bit of a gimmick because it's not able to bring them back itself, so is waiting for future rockets. And surely those will be more advanced and able to bring their own samples back? For instance, I'd expect uncrewed SpaceX Starships to land by 2025.

There's plenty actually. I'm no sycophant. Just like how he's critical even when we have a decent win. We are getting results but that's been down the how impressive Marshall has been along with the defence. For 15+ games they've been playing like an automatic promotion side. We need to improve significantly in other areas of the pitch and when we do, we'll be a team capable of play offs every season. I still think we'll end up 3 wins off 6th spot this season.

Make no mistake, this is some of the worst football I've seen Derby play in a very long time. I thought Cocu ball was bad. I'm very keen to see our approach to matches once we are out of a relegation battle. Which, truth be told, could be up until the final 3 games at this rate. Very tight right now. A team can lose 3 on the trot and then be in a relegation battle.

Good luck to the guy - but it's also just as likely he'll sink into football obscurity. Equally I think Wayne played a master stroke by bringing him into the first team and putting him in the shop window. It was clear he wasn't going to sign his contract - which had been on the table for several weeks, so he went to the highest bidder. As I said good luck to him, but the grass isn't always greener elsewhere is it....

To land Starship, 2 Raptor engines need to reignite and perform properly. On both landing attempts so far, 1 of those engines has failed, leading to the crash and explosion.
The new workaround to try on the next prototype is to relight all 3 engines. If all 3 relight successfully, this provides too much upward thrust so the one delivering the least torque would quickly be shut down again. But if there are 2 working engines, then Bob's your uncle and there's a chance to land upright on the pad.
Ultimately the goal is to have the raptors become so reliable that they never fail, but this seems like a sensible insurance policy.

I get all this. But if I was him I'd think I'm being picked on for no good reason. Rooney was a hothead aggressive player. He's asking us to be less nice and rough up the opponent's. CKR constantly boasts of this attribute of his.
Waghorn has been accumulating unnessary red cards. Lawrence could practically do whatever the hell he wanted.

My point is that without Sibley starting we're unlikely to score more than 1 goal a game.

Conflating what I'm saying. A player is either match fit or they aren't. If he isn't match fit then he shouldn't be included in the match day squad and the priority is to get him match fit. He isn't unfit. If that gets used as an excuse at any point, it'll be hugely ironic on the managers part, as he was done 60 minutes into every game.
Football training on the pitch, is almost entirely based on nothing more than football. Not fitness. There's practically no scientific basis for the football training drills. Almost all football managers and coaches don't know if a player is training at the maximumal recoverable threshold. And that's the biggest point, it's a threshold and can vary significantly based on the individual.
Players are being constantly monitored. But getting the point across to a football coach that X player needs to stop doing so much in the football training is like talking to a brick wall. Even with the data and scientific research presented to them. They are just viewed as lazy or ironically unfit. As the cause of being unfit will be overtraining.
My point is and was generic.

I've always found the lazy in training arguments made by managers to be truly idiotic. It doesn't matter if a player does less than others in training. What matters is what happens in matches.
Training is about development, recovery, preparation, etc.
Overtaining is a bigger problem than undertraining.

How is Sibley a luxury over Waghorn.. it's a necessity to threaten the opposition and get goals, otherwise it's just inbound traffic to Bird and co to defend.

Given that we've scored 17 goals in 27 games I am at a bit of a loss why Sibley is not getting more game time. He is an up and down player but has shown how creative he can be in the past and we are screaming out for that right now.
