If this turns out to be true then the club need to bring in some advisors. We are clearly developing an awful lot of talent and we need to put a stop to these players being poached for pennies. It's simply not good enough.

Some nice high-res colour pics starting to come through now. There's a press conference that'll be on NASA TV later tonight which might even have video of the landing!

I know exactly what you are saying.  There was a Sky News article I linked in this thread probably around March/April last year that showed a park full of people calling them 'covidiots' etc, the usual stuff.  In the background of this picture were tower blocks 😕
My wife and I work from home and during the course of the past year the business we have spent 10 years building up has lost around 75% of its typical income (although its picked up quite a bit since Jan weirdly).  Fortunately we've been thinking about winding down anyway so its not effected us financially.  Mentally, whilst I miss watching live football, going to the cinema and eating out we've been very lucky - we live in a nice house with a big garden across the road from a park.  We have 2 kids, a dog, lots of chickens are all get along just fine.  Fortunately all 4 of us are also big gamers so staying home all day every day has just meant we can indulge our gaming habits!  Having said that, since Christmas I must admit that I'm slowly starting to go stir crazy.
I can't imagine being a single parent in a tower block with 2 kids climbing the walls and very little means of educating them.  Constant noise coming from the flats above and below and being told I'm a covidiot for going out and sitting a park for some respite.
It is so much easier to criticise others when you are sitting in relative comfort watching cricket on Sky quaffing Belgian beer.

Great guy but he's not got much to offer us anymore. I expect him to leave in the summer and he will start scoring again. But can't see that happening here anymore. Needs a fresh start and one final contract somewhere else.

He's a striker that must hold the Guinness World Record for number of 1 on 1's fluffed and allegedly a winger who can't beat a man cross a ball or has no end product.
Apart from that yer let's keep him.

I understand our current situation keeping him out. But that's also an argument to play him as he's the only player who can bag a brace out of nowhere.
The best place for him to learn, as with any young player, is playing in the first team.
I'm starting to grow concerned over the handling of both Sibley and Bird.
Bird is not a DM. Sibley needs to play.

This right here is the the justification for a Stevie Mac double sub at 60-65mins. I've not been happy with Rooney's insistence to keep certain players on the pitch, for up to 20 minutes longer than they should be and last did anything right.

He's playing too many minutes. Think his impact would be much more significant if he was subbed off 60-65 mins, in most games.

Waghorn has been pretty bad since he's returned. Constantly losing the ball or making poor passes. He's not contributing much at all right now.

This is the bit thats confusing me...
If you have been vaccinated why does it matter if your holiday rep hasn't?  I posted the AstroZenica study previously (17k+ people tested) stating the vaccine 100% prevents hospitalization and death.
I'm not sure why the fear of others not being vaccinated is being projected onto those that have.

What happens when we're (mostly) all vaccinated against covid and deaths are right down - do we then start tracking seasonal flu deaths (which run 10k-20k in normal years, 50k+ in bad years)
If we go down the route of mandatory covid vaccines, do we then apply the same with seasonal flu shots?
Why stop at flu or indeed any transmissible disease... Fag packets tell you smoking will kill you - why not ban smokers?  Or drinkers - how many working hours per year are lost due to hangovers etc?
Some big decisions have to be made and pandora's box will be opened...

    Massively against this idea - as is the PM according to the final paragraph of the article;
The prime minister's official spokesman has said: "Taking a vaccine is not mandatory and it would be discriminatory to force somebody to take one."

It's a really good point (kind of!).  Most of the community that thinks about the risk of Human extinction wants to avoid alerting extraterrestrials to our presence at this moment in time. We need to become a much more robust interstellar civilization before we could be more confident of surviving such an encounter, given the history of civilizations encountering others here on Earth with just a small technological headstart. So METI (messaging extraterrestrial intelligence) is officially banned but it's hard to enforce.
On the surface of Mars we're only talking microbes and potential evidence of former complex plants animals, from the time earlier in Martian history when it had a thicker atmosphere and seems to have been warmer and with significant surface water (rivers/lakes/seas). If there are plants  or more complex life there now, it will be underground where there are sealed lakes for instance (these form very interesting ecosystems on earth). But we're not going there this mission. So our dogs and cats are likely safe for now.
When he was younger, Elon Musk had a plan to send a greenhouse to Mars to see how well the plants survived, and put a crew of mice in a space capsule spinning to replicate Martian gravity. Nowadays his plans are more ambitious but longer term.
But as @Rampagepoints out, this mission is collecting samples to return to Earth. It seems a little bit of a gimmick because it's not able to bring them back itself, so is waiting for future rockets. And surely those will be more advanced and able to bring their own samples back? For instance, I'd expect uncrewed SpaceX Starships to land by 2025.
