  1. I think Salzburg is a great choice for a break for a weekend. It's a great town, doesn't feel too busy, some nice traditional places to eat/drink and its got great countryside around it. Airport is pretty small and very close to the city on a bus/taxi so you aren't messing around.
  2. Dwight Gayle, what a signing. Incredibly lucky with the decisions.
  3. If be livid if I was Reading. Lucky I'm not though.
  4. I like the rams daily podcast. Living far, far, away from derby its a great way of keeping up to date.. along with RamsTV. It'll be a massive shame when the BBC run out of money and they have to have one broadcast for each game. Back in the mel era when I guess the budget was a bit higher, I really enjoyed the RamsTV meets series.
  5. Yeah that's true however in this case she was born as a UK Citizen. It essentially leads to a different class of citizenship if it can be revoked if you've got another citizenship.
  6. I think it's dangerous that you can have your citizenship given by birth taken away on the basis that you're eligible/hold other citizenship.
  7. What wound me up about the charges (and still does) is the fact that it appeared that they were approved then retrospectively the decision or view changed. The later charges are a direct consequence of the inadequacy of oversight of the EFL. If we'd known they weren't going to be seen as compliant, then business would have been different. It's not evident in the findings by the tribunals that this was ever considered. An independent office of football regulation is needed.
  8. We gotta just adapt and move on. Ideally we'd only have to push through final 5/6 games but at the stage people just have to pull together and sort a system out to make it work.
  9. You're right - probably could have done but the flexibility and redrafting is just much faster. It's also on tap, I don't need to manage their resourcing to fit in these tasks and have them working on stuff that produces more value and frankly they prefer doing. At the end of the day people will learn how to use the technology to their advantage and to make their job easier and you're right, the nature and requirements of jobs will gradually change. There are some tasks I wish I could automate more easily or flexibly instead of wasting good staff time. I guess the risk in that in a few decades time is people will find it extremely difficult to write without directing a natural language model.
  10. I think stuff like chat gpt etc is pretty powerful. I've been using MS autopilot to help me this week write parts of reports and presentations. We aren't permitted to use chatgpt as it harvests your data. It's not perfect but it's a good start and edit it to add details, reword etc. I can see how it impacts jobs though, this is a task that I may have given a junior member of staff..
  11. I think there's still a bit of a way to go before roles get fully replaced (although customer support roles are already being replaced in part) but I can see a lot of benefits to low-risk technical design being done through AI.
  12. 100% a foul but was a bit easy after it.
  13. Climate change will first make life far more expensive or disruptive. When large swathes of the population can't insure their properties against flooding for example. Being overly negative about the prospect of reversing climate change does noone any favours
  14. Good win in the end. Could have been given/given away a pen but generally happy with the way we played. Nml very unlucky not to hit his second immediately after the restart. Still feeling stung by pboro and Wycombe results tbh looking at the league table.
  15. Looked lucky with the sending off tbh but onwards and upwards
  16. Most clubs are really just bit-part players in the top 6 narrative in the premier league. I don't think I've paid any notice to Bournemouth this season until today. Same with Brentford.
  17. I think with safe standing you're still assigned a 'seat' so to speak. I do wonder how it's regulated in the stadia that have it in england. Do people actually take the seat/row they're allocated or do they chance it in the lively areas? That's the largest risk for me...
  18. Anfield is licensed for safe standing so not sure why they're saying that.
  19. I assume they have to have the seats. Also I think they'd want to prevent people believing it's a return to actual terraces. You still in theory have to stand where you buy your ticket
