If that is true forcing a prospective  buyer to place money in what is known as an escrow account is a smart move, praise where praise is due

We won under employment law. This was the EFL rules we fell foul of.

Fine of £200k, for filing technically non-complian (in the view of the LAP) accounts.
Warning over future conduct and instruction to bring accounting practices into line with usual practice for all future, but crucially, not an instruction to resumit past P&S statements based on the straight line ammotisation methodology.
The EFL argue that the decision of the appeal means Derby broke FFP limits, and that Derby should face a sanction in line with what the losses over FFP allowable losses would have been. Derby argue this is unfair, as they stated during the orginal hearing, had the policy and accounts not been accepted by the EFL, Derby would have acted differently, and thus the losses above FFP limits will be larger with no chance to retrospectvly change how they did things.
The panel find in DCFC's favor on the last point, and not points deduction is applied.
Engineering students then have to refer to steam tables in their thermodynamics text books to calcualte the pressure of the piss boiling inside Steve Gibson.
The EFL appeal the last part of the ruling.
On appeal, the club are issued with a 3 point deduction on the grounds the "they can't be seen to have got nothing"

Not entirely unrelated to this thread I get the principles behind FFP but the reality we are seeing this season with the exception maybe of Barnsley having a cracking season is a league that is in danger of becoming a closed loop from the Premier League which is fuelled by the parachute payments, same/similar clubs yo-yoing between the two, the increase in punishments to clubs in our league making them too afraid to dare to dream of anything other than staying in the league.
The 3 coming down next season all have obvious claims of bouncing back, Brentford/Bournemouth/Swansea depending on who goes up will be thereabouts again.
I'm well aware we have far bigger issues of our own to worry about but if I was a neutral I'd say this league is in real danger of going from exciting to boring very fast.

Im not quite sure I understand this hate for fans and players celebrating yesterday. Did everybody just expect them to shake hands and walk off? Mediocrity shouldn’t be celebrated, but it’s pure relief that we can finally put this season to bed.

You'd like to think that in the aftermath of Covid, lockdowns and every football related nightmare we've endured this last year, that fans being overjoyed at surviving the threat of relegation might be something we're allowed to enjoy without self-righteous criticism from some quarters. Its only one or two though so perhaps best ignored. 🤷‍♂️

It’s exactly this. It’s pure relief and emotion spilling out. We’d be hammering the players for not caring if they just snuck off after the match.

If his remit, when he was offered the job, was to keep us in the division and he manages it, how can you say it is not a success?
Its a bit weird that you seem to want to discount the period when both Bielik and CKR were fit, and say we would have been bottom without it. Its just as easy to say that had they both remained fit we would be pushing for play offs.
For me, if Rooney keeps us up, he deserves a crack next season when hopefully he will be able to bring his own players in.

Let’s be honest now, at the time we were flying, you’d be hard to pressed to find many posters on here he didn’t think he should have been given the job permanently. We were winning games, keeping cleaning sheets (remember all the posts about how we’d gone so many games without facing a shot on target?) and more importantly we were gradually moving away from the relegation zone. Whats happened since the new contract though is the key injury to Beilik and the complete over complication of tactics in approach to each game.

Not so long ago wages were at £40m a season, if that figure is to believed it’s now around £14m. That’s why the squad is threadbare and devoid of any quality, it’s been completely stripped down.

im loyal to the club not to a celeb who forced his way into a managerial position he's clearly not capable of running or coaching.
I'm actually getting angry that he hasn't gone yet and we are not being given the opportunity to have a chance to survive in the last few, absolutely vital games of this season.

I actually think this is a fantastic opportunity for football to complete reinvent its self. Let the “big 6” go and join the new league, the fact that 6 teams Weald the power over 86 other clubs shows you that the current model is well and truly broken.
The other 85 clubs need to band together and restart the football pyramid, have agreements in place to distribute the money fairly across the divisions and get back to the days where all teams stand a chance of being able to win the league. If we managed to win the top division would we care we didn’t play United or city? Not one iota. Football will carry on regardless, millions of people still support the other 85 clubs.
The way sky are condemning this new league tells me they don’t have the TV rights, itl be on Dazn no doubt but Thel still want to show as much football as they do now to not lose subscriptions so money will be still be rife in the game.
