It's not the drawing, it's not the point, its the horrendous showing from everyone other than the defence and Adams. Everyone else way off it. I genuinely think NML should not be captain. Great player on his day but so awful tonight, bickering with his team mates, woeful passing, shocking finishing, just not right for the role imo. 
We need Gayle back, that man will save the autos.

I said it a thousand times, Gayles game has changed from the out and out goal scorer that we knew of him years ago. Now its about his intelligence, movement, linkup play. Just like NML and Didzy when he was here, he's got an opportunity to get a good run of games, no real pressure to perform, and allows him to grow in confidence, aswell as building continuity with the rest of the lads. Hes popped up with a goal after 2 appearances and I said that if he can get an early goal in his time here, i reckon the flood gates will open and I stand by that. 
 
A confident Gayle in this league would walk into any teams starting 11 and I reckon just like NML, we will get the best out of him.

Warne always refers to Liverpool or Man City in interviews when talking about tactics/good teams and I know he would love us to be this multidimensional team that can effortlessly switch systems but we are in the 3rd tier of English football, We are Derby County, NOT Liverpool or Man City, that is the reality.
Drastically changing to 3 at the back with absolutely zero proof that we play better that way to see games out, we don't. Every time we go 3 at the back we completely lose any edge and become this unorganised, disjointed team on the back foot. It seems we alway revert to that because for some reason Warne loves yanking his chain over it. 
The reality is, we (imo) need to go to a 4123, stick with it for the rest of the season. 1 system, 1 lot of instructions, simplify it. Players should be then picked on form to play in that system, not shoe horning everyone in with a complete change of system because you see Man City, a billion pound team, do it on Match Of The Day.
We have more than enough to get out this league, but we need to play to our strengths and admit defeat when something isn't working, because right now reverting back to type is not it.
Still alot of games to play and no doubt there will be more drama, but we need to stomp this bottling out now.

My godson was playing for QPR when they were in the championship and the concencous was they cut the academy, saved and invested their money in the recruiting players who would make an instant impact. They relied on a system that was based primarily on stats rather than names and If I remember rightly, their scouting system wasn't even done by people who were of your regular scout mould, but more so stat experts who seemed to be very good at more often than not picking players who fit the bill perfectly.

I've been busy at work thinking of some top-notch songs to see us through to til the end of the season. Here's a few.

I think people are focusing too much on his goals. Yes he's coming in to be a striker, but his link up play is where he shines most these days. I think he's gonna be the clever link between NML and whoever else plays in attack with him. Ofcourse we hope he will contribute to the goal tally, but he has come in and has qualities that none of our strikers do, and in this league, its a big signing even at his age.
