  1. I for one never drink before or at the match and I'm at my seat 20 minutes before kick off. Don't understand the need to have half a gallon of ale before going to the game. Particularly at 9am! Not that I don't like a pint, just don't bother at the game. It goes straight through! Fully agree about the awful music and other nonsense like that poem coming out of the speakers so loud you have to shout at the person next to you
  2. Interestingly if you take out EE and JJ and possibly Elder due to the unlucky injuries, I would suggest there is not a bad signing there. Not sure about Fornah though.
  3. One thing for sure is that the job is certainly not done at all. We need to team to come out and very clinically sort this game out. A couple of goals and then some serious game management, then the fat lady can sing!
  4. His brother seems to have gone very quiet? Not seen anything of him of late.
  5. For me the division we play in is secondary to still having a club and a stadium to play in.
  6. Didn't Simmo get a hat trick against Portsmouth at the BBG which resulted in Jim Smith getting the sack?
  7. Would like is not the same as needing. Which 8 who started on saturday would you replace?
  8. Half of that income increase will cover the existing loss, so don't expect a huge amount of activity. I expect 3-4 higher grade players arriving, a similarish number leaving and several new contracts for key young players. I hope that will give us a stable platform to aim for "middle third" of the championship.
  9. I Like that 🙂 I imagine the team will evolve a little this summer, but I'm not expecting 8-9 players to arrive. I hope to see new contracts, extensions and some released as said above. If they can do one bit of business buying Adams has got to be a priority, plus a new young, and robust striker. I hope Warne is on the phone to Cardiff first thing next monday to discuss a deal for Adams. I'd suggest we should try to get a new younger centre half if somebody comes available, planning for the future, and generally aim for a younger team. So Sibley, Thompson, Wilson, Wildsmith are all good investments for the future. The club will have extra income of circa £10-12 million next season, but that will soon get used up, covering existing losses, and quite probably higher wages. I hope to see the club in a break even scenario next season, and only see sales when the price is right and it suits us.
  10. Lets also give Simmo a warm welcome. A decent player, ex assistant manager and he has also beat cancer. Well done to him.
  11. Our turnover will increase from circa £20 million to a little over £30 million or thereabouts.
  12. His instinctive save also kept us in the game. That's also happened numerous times this season. Great shot stopper.
  13. Just touched down in Germany for the afternoon. COYR!!
  14. A day trip to Germany this afternoon, and at the match next week. Interestingly, whilst supporting the rams for over 50 years, I've never been to a promotion party game. COYR!
  15. I hope a minority don't let us down and run onto the pitch either at Cambridge or the Carlisle match. The team will no doubt do the usual parade lap (Regardless of results as we have as a minimum made the play offs) If a pitch invasion happens then that will be cancelled. Don't ruin it please! And also can the parade lap go around the perimeter, and not stop at the penalty box please?
  16. Cambridge 1 Derby 2. FRGS Cashin. A scrappy game and nervous Derby, Punters go ahead by a penalty, but the rams kick in after half time with 2 goals.
  17. Sounds like a great evening, chatting to the players etc. 😁🐏Was there a cheer when the Bolton v Shrews result came out?
  18. Mostly they don't have any points to make, its just the same old every time they post. Nobody is controlling, its just about calling out the trolls, and supporting the team.
  19. We are so close now! 🐏🐏
  20. Incredible really, here we are on the cusp of bagging promotion with club record points and still there are "Fans" who are more interested in agitating for a change in manager. I think Lionel had the right idea some years ago telling such people what they could do. Take a trip down the A52 if I recall. Top chap Lionel and we all owe a debt to him. I remember when he appointed Jim Smith and many also moaned. Fingers crossed for crossing the line and I'm hoping Warne will do a good job developing the squad and establishing us as a middle third upwardly looking championship team next season, which is what he has been given the target to do by the board. I'm very thankful we have an astute owner, who is putting the club on a stable footing, and not sacking managers all the time.
  21. Perhaps he means club record points and record equaling away wins? We certainly don't want any more of that 🐏
  22. Hopefully comrade will be doing the thread first game of next season 🙂
  23. Can we start our business this summer early, signing up Adams, and then sorting out new contracts for Wildsmith, Thompson and Sibley? Plus Korey Smith maybe?
  24. Rail seating does not introduce any more seats at all. The seats are the same, just a rail added.
  25. Hasn't there been issues with the area of the east stand next to the away fans? People standing and the club no longer selling tickets there? It looked full yesterday though.
