Best recruitment over the past 10/15 years was from Nigel Clough and he spent next to nothing….

Clough's teams were far more exciting. Would liken Warne's style more to Rowett.

Before you slate me, Clough had a talented team, he was too negative, Stevie Mac turned us into an attacking outfit overnight!!!!  That's not the issue with Warne as we were camped in their half for large spells of the game, that said I was bored stiff today, just like Cloughs football.
I felt like going home at HT, I stayed obviously, the footie got worse not better, we just can not seem to brake teams down that come for a draw!
Stevie Mac part 3 anyone?  The football was never boring, it had us on the edge of our seats............

BrudeRAM reacted to On the Ram Page in Knight Sibley Bird Bielik
I think it is unlikely to happen but I would make a case etthat keeping Beilik would be our best scenario. Sat in front of a back 3 or 4, he can tackle aggressively and head a ball (far superior to Bird). He also has good vision, awareness and passing ability. In my opinion he would be an upgrade on Bird. He managed 30 odd appearances for Brum last year so hopefully his injuries are behind him. He would also contribute more goals than Bird, Knight as he is a major threat at corners, free kicks.

if we sold 2 of the others we may be able to afford his wages and he is more able to adapt to the “promised land” if we ever get there. Don’t think we will keep him, but wish we could.

Sav was definitely in there for me as a ‘favourite’ rather than a ‘best’. I remember being pitch level 2009 and the ball coming out to Ronaldo who was halfway through the classic double stepover when savage nailed him. The scarf and the forest game isn’t a bad memory either

Max confuses me. Occasional moments of real vision or a wonder goal that are a notch above and then games where he gets bullied and isn’t quite on it.

Why have we pulled Sibley off? We need a goal?

Daft from Davies, ball should’ve been in row Z rather than dribbled back to Wildsmith
But we’ve looked on top most of that half, better ball from Bird or bit more lift on McGoldrick’s effort and we could’ve had a couple. 45mins to save our season, it’s down to us! COME ON LADS!!🐏

Why didn't he kick the easy ball out for a throw. He's an experienced defender. I don't care if it's soft.

Hourihane was way ahead of him first half.
We have a small squad with no one aged 22-29 and we've played gas out football.
    It was inevitable.
I also can't see a fix to this problem.
Id be stunned at top 6 now.

If the goal stood, and we'd lost 2-1, we'd still be top 6.
Perhaps if we don't end up top 6, we could threaten to sue the referee, the EFL allow such threats, after all.

We need runners getting beyond mcgoldrick when he drops deep, and getting into the box when we break down the wings. We’re offering so little going forward without it

Awful. I don’t believe bird and hourihane complement each other at all. Collins offers less than nothing. Smith and Forsyth were shocking. Too many players were hiding as soon as we went a couple down. Can only remember 1 or 2 shots on target all game. Bovril and a burger was the only highlight.

It's January 2123, and the Rams faithful are debating the chances of cloning Chris Martin from a chunk of his shin left on some Burnley defenders studs in 2016.
Opinion is fiercely divided between the 'you win nowt with clones' faction and the wardrobista ultras.
    And on it will go.
I'd have him back just for giggles on here, tbh.

Smart move this. I like how we are taking our time instead of thrashing out a 3 year deal. IMO Liam shouldn't get the job based on his appreciated tireless efforts to get the team ready, but based on results. This will allow us to see if he has what it takes, if it works, then great, we can hand him the deal as permanent manager then, of not, then is saves us sacking him, thus costing us a load of money.
Finally, it seams like the club is making level headed and smart decisions. Anyway come on Liam, we are all behind you, make this job yours, I really hope you do, there is not a nicer bloke in football ?

Sibley has to be the first name on the team sheet. And even though we often play him out of position, I don't mean in goal. Against the Baggies he had far and away our three best attempts. No one else comes close to bringing his level of goal threat and, as a club, we are starved of goals. It's not as if he doesn't also fully contribute to the team. And the whole team plays better when he's on the pitch as he gives us such better options and attacking intent than the other midfielders. Fairness is so important to me. Rosenior has done plenty of good things but he's been taking the easy option in some of his team selections, not picking the side on merit but instead going by reputation. For instance, if both are fit competing for the same spot, it's much easier to pick Hourihane and leave Sibley on the bench. But enough is enough. Louie has kept his head down, worked hard and consistently been out best player over the season to date. If he's fit and Rosenior doesn't pick him on Saturday, I'm calling for Rosenior to go. The manager has to be brave and do the right thing. That way is the path to promotion. I'm thinking Rosenior will finally acknowledge this and go:
    Wildsmith
    Knight     Stearman     Cashin     Roberts
    Bird     Hourihane
    Mendez-Laing     Sibley     Barkhuizen
    Collins
Subs: Loach Oduroh Forsyth Rooney Smith McGoldrick Dobbin
McGoldrick will continue to be eased in gently. If Mendez-Laing still has family stuff to sort out, Dobbin will come in (he's close to demanding a start anyway) and either Thompson or Agathise for the bench.
