Shame! That was a pretty good effort. ?

I would imagine some of our players would value the couple of games rest every now and then which a larger squad allows you
The chances of us bringing in 11 players of vastly greater quality than the current squad are highly unlikely, but since the current squad have shown they can win games and compete with some fairly decent sides at this level, adding a few extra options and some fresher legs every now and then should probably benefit us
Yep
It's been a poor couple of weeks - And the lack of wins and endless draws were draining
But worth remembering we ended Cov's 100% winning Home start, Swansea, Huddersfield and Luton are all doing fairly well, we deservedly beat Stoke, got a hard fought draw against West Brom
Worth remembering we've lost five games so far - 3 sides in the top 6 have lost five games too - This league can be properly topsy turvy and a bit more efficiency in the final third can be the difference between and good and bad run of games
Okay that's drained me of all remaining positivity

Long term effects of some decidedly fishy behaviour by the EFL?

I keep looking at the "where we'd be if we didn't have a deduction" table which Rooney said he was showing the players a few weeks ago - And that would have us 20th, which is well in the relegation mix anyway
There have been some glimpses of a side this year, but it's still one which (for me) is summed up by our 36 yr old CB being our top scorer
When Bielik comes back we will improve, but I don't expect him to be banging in the goals we need - So we HAVE to be able to bring new talent in after Christmas because we need a couple of goalscorers - I love Kaz and I like Baldock but neither are prolific goalscorers

We don't entirely know the motivations there - I'm not defending him but it's been suggested before that if Morris had come out publicly and claimed full responsibility then the administrators may not now be able to appeal against administration ?♂️

But if I was in a situation where I felt the EFL were being unreasonable and trying to force us to accept sanctions with seemingly no reason I would fight it - However if I was also trying to repair relationships with the EFL and show good faith to them I would be doing it in private - I wouldn't be shouting about it, I wouldn't be telling the fans how unreasonable the EFL are being and I wouldn't even make a single comment which could be construed by the EFL as being negative/aggravating
It's frustrating for us not hearing anything - But I don't blame Morris for not saying anything - I think if he were to come out and let everyone know what the hold up is I suspect it would out the EFLs back up and make them dig their heels in further

I didn't claim either were good decisions - I was just saying that he wasn't 'forced' into the changes and that both could be classed as tactical changes (which you claimed they weren't)
Tactical decisions aren't automatically good - They're just tactical - It may have been wiser for him to leave Lawrence on and risk the red in order to maintain our best goal threat - That would have been a different, but no less tactical, decision

It may not be something which is changing the system but taking off a player who is on a yellow card is tactical - It frees up the player coming on to be a bit more aggressive and ensures that the player coming off doesn't pick up a second yellow
A tactical retreat if you like?

So many people don't seem to understand how tax write off on charity donations work it's depressing
(appreciate you know this but feel the need to clear it up) Charity tax write offs make it seem better to donate cos you can give money to a cause you like and look like a great person and then the government give you money back to the equivalence of the tax you would have paid earning that donation (as far as I'm aware) - Meaning that regardless of the tax relief you still end up with LESS money in your account than you would have done if you gave no money to charity
I'm not sure why people seem to think that charity tax write offs mean you somehow end up with more money - The incentive isn't financial for the person who makes them, it's perceptual
