On the subject of face masks - My mum is 90 and was in hospital for a week last August with pneumonia despite our very best efforts to isolate her. My Father-in-law has just come out of hospital today after having a second operation for lung cancer. That is why I will continue to wear a face mask in the future. If others continue to wear face masks in supermarkets and on public transport or any other places it will protect more vulnerable people. It's not just about protecting you, it's about protecting us all!!

It’s not about being selfish and morally bankrupt.
    It’s about using common sense.
If you are hanging around or are near to those that are still vulnerable then take precautions to help them out.

If nobody vulnerable is near you then you really don’t need to worry.

If  someone who is vulnerable asks you to help them out and you choose not too, Well that’s just a bit crap.
Either way the choice is now yours.

If the member of staff is wearing a mask or the shop still asks people to wear a mask then I will happily wear a mask.
The vulnerable will be taking lots of precautions, especially as cases are increasing. I don’t think we need to worry about bumping into them in packed bars at the moment.
With common colds etc again it depends on who you are hanging around with, I wouldn’t visit a vulnerable person whilst I was ill. I think the argument that people should wear masks whilst ill and in confined spaces with others has some merit to it.

Wearing a mask is to protect others, not the wearer.
See thread below for a different perspective. I have two friends in this position. Are they just to stay at home the rest of their lives?

I have a friend whom has a 14 year old son that has numerous medical conditions.

Rules or no rules I’m going to continue wearing my mask in order to protect his vulnerability's as his own immune system is incapable.

I guess if I didn’t socialise with someone with a vulnerability I might think about it differently.

We're right to be cautious about following up the long term effects, given how quickly it was developed, but this is all clearly bad science being twisted by the media to fuel the debates that fund them
Given that most women in their 40s will have had the vaccine, and most women in their 40s start to see changes in their periods anyway as the menopause approaches - 4000 reports out of however many million women jabbed is just noise
We should only really be concerned about looking for trending in side-effects that pose a serious health threat IMO

There is a tremendous ignorance of culture and religion being shown here towards this Sheikh, and the UAE.  I do not support all their laws and beliefs, and no doubt there are some human rights issues operating within the Emerati, but a picture is being painted that greatly distorts (in my opinion).  I suspect the same posters would be happy to have Chinese, Russian or American owners (I could go on) even though those Countries facilitate worse atrocities within or outside their borders.
