Good post and I'll be there on Saturday as well (also renewing my ST without hesitation) and I've been banging on for ages that our failings are not ALL down to PW. However, whilst arguably correct to say we only lost due to individual errors, I think this is a tad misleading. We also lost because we failed to control the game enough or create and finish enough opportunities. If you allow the opposition to take control for long periods of the game (as Charlton did for good parts of the second half) then there is a high risk that they will get back into the game either through their pressing or from errors in your own team.
I'm not suggesting we should dominate from start to finish (there are bound to be periods when the opposition get the upper hand) but there felt like an inevitability that they would score by one means or another and we did very little to trouble their keeper. COYR

There is normally a drop off between weekend and midweek attendances. Life and work often gets in the way for people.
Of course, fans will vote with their feet. It happens at every club up and down the country, even at clubs with much vaunted support like Leeds.
If we don’t get promoted, either Warne’s job will be under threat or Clowes will give him the first half of next season.
Will it affect attendances? Maybe slightly. But if Derby’s core support have remained through the management spells of Todd, Gregory, Brown, Jewell, Pearson, Cocu, Rooney, Clement and so on, I don’t see the majority deserting the club now.
There have been worse times and less enjoyable football. If you are a fan of the club, nothing should really change.

We've lost back to back league games for the 1st time.
We are 2nd in the table despite having to deal with a lack of attacking options.
Yes, we would all like to see more flair, more attacking football, but we just don't have the personnel for it atm, our financial restrictions have limited who we have been able to recruit and more importantly, IMO, who we were able to keep hold of.
I really wish we had played a 5 at the back last night with the lack of a left back being available, Sibley at LWB and Wilson at RWB would have given us more attacking options IMO, but he chose to play a 4 with Cashin at LB, a 4 that the vast majority are screaming for despite the personnel not being available.
No matter how poor the football is perceived to be by some, we ONLY lost to stupid, amateurish individual errors again, just like at the beginning of the season.
Is it Warnes fault that Wildsmith had another brainfart? We could see from the South stand that when the ball went forward he would never get there in time as he wasn't on his toes in anticipation, so he should have got close and stood his grd to make the player have to beat him.
Was it Warnes fault that the numerous mistakes from individuals cost us the 2nd goal, fgs, I came from us trying to pass it around at the back instead of launching it forwards (what most people complain about as Warne ball.... so it feels like all those moaners got what they deserved by trying to pass it around with league 1 players!).
I for 1 will be there on Saturday and give him my full support, despite not agreeing with some of his decisions,  after all, what do I know compared to the man that has us 2nd in the table?
And for all those that say any other manager would have us 1st, prove it, Where's the evidence? Who's to say we wouldn't have lost more games? Or is it just your opinion, a bit like mine, so worthless other than being an opinion of a fan that has watched thousands of games but never had access to the inner workings of a club out of administration and the coaching badges to allow me to be on the training ground.

Yes the older players are going to be more susceptible to injuries, but you can't deny he has kept NML available for more games than most of his career, McGoldrick last season also, rarely unavailable after Warne came in. Collins despite his all action style hasn't been injured due to training.

    Okay, I'll be that guy...
Were we terrible tonight?! I don't think so. To my eye we looked the better team and should have won. Not inspiring by any stretch but still the better side with more than enough opportunities to take 3 points.
On Saturday at Barnsley we were equal to them.
I accept we play a fairly pragmatic brand of football under Warne, it's not my idea of entertaining football but not every dropped point has to be used as a stick to beat him with. It's league 1 in the winter, it's going to be ugly at times.
Some people's expectations feel unrealistic given all the circumstances. We are not going to win every game playing total football. People calling for him to be sacked whilst we're second in the league or because their crystal ball says we'll be crap in the championship is frankly bizarre!
I agree that he has to stop tinkering with 3 at the back and stick with some version of 4-3-3 but I don't see that as the primary reason we lost tonight.
We are still second, it is still all to play for.
    Tin hat on.

Both Derby and Bolton are currently in a mini slump. Not the end of the world. All will look rosy again on Saturday when we batter Port Vale

On the last line, true - but McGoldrick has nothing to do with how well the players I mentioned are doing this year.
On the rest - thanks to @Rich84 for taking that one on.
For the sake of my mental health, I give up. I don't mind Warne not being everyone's cup of tea (the David Brent comparisons always tickle me), but to not even acknowledge that he's doing something right - and he must be doing something right, we're 2nd for crying out loud - is just silly.

You really need to take a break from arguing for arguments sake as it's making you look foolish imo. Anything of value in some of your comments are lost in stuff like this.....
We absolutely set up to play to his strengths,  just like we had set up for Collins better this year, hence JC's better returns than last.
For your argument to work, then he would have at least matched last year's stats this year with dropping down a division,  so go check them out.... to get to the same level this year he will have to create 3 and score 10 in approximately the next 5 games worth for Notts....... hmmm, maybe its because they aren't set up purely for him as they play another striker up top?
So as your argument is that league 1 is poor (but not as poor as this year mind) and just him doing his thing last year afforded him all those goals, then it stands to reason league 2 must be better then?
