Just had Chilwell on toast again. But but he's not good enough for Derby....
Someone's going to take a training session one day and realise Jozwiaks main strength is taking players on.

All great points I agree with, but I guess we also have to accept the world has changed from when we were kids.
To most older people, not having had that social interaction would be unimaginable. But kids today are already adept at forming relationships with much less face to face time.
We can't say our way was all good and the new way is all bad though.
For example, our world was made for certain types of characters to excel: confident, outgoing, attractive for example.
Perhaps a more online world gives the less extroverted people a chance to shine? The workplace extrovert who everyone likes, so no one questions their productivity vs the boring and shy nerd, who whilst working at home, leads a design via chat that build an incredible new product.

I disagree that he's seen 'plenty' of the ball around the opposition area, it's the complete opposite.
The main area he sees the ball is 35-40 yards out, 10 yards in from the side of the pitch, facing his own goal and given the task of supporting the runs of Byrne. There are no runners from central midfield and often little to aim for up top aside from CKR, surrounded by defenders.
Jozwiak's work has helped create a number of situations for Byrne to get his crosses in, but there's nobody out there really providing any support to Jozwiak himself. He's almost expected to do it all on his own.
If we had a creative central midfielder doing for Jozwiak what Jozwiak does for Byrne he'd be producing more.
You're still picking apart ONE chance when someone actually played a good ball to him, because that's pretty much the only one he's been given for the past however many weeks. The only one I can remember before that is Bielik playing him a lovely ball and putting him through the with keeper, Jozwiak having a decent shot the keeper could only push into the path of CKR to score.

You say 'once again' as if he gets 4 opportunities a game as opposed to an opportunity every 4 games,.having spent the majority of his time on the pitch defending or chasing long balls down the line, having to aerially and physically challenge a full back just to get a touch.
Imstead if dissecting his every touch you should take a second to understand why he might be rusty, low on confidence and/or physically & mentally tired when these rare opportunities come along.

So pleased for Kamil tonight, A goal, an assist, and played a big part in the 3rd goal as well.
To all the DCFC fans that have been doubting him, this is what he is capable of when the team plays attacking football.

Jozwiak showing what he can do when he's not surrounded by jobbers and stuck in a formation that makes it incredibly difficult to play in the opposition half.

That's as likely to attract young talent as the headline-grabbing kids who make the first team and elite football. Much easier to convince prospective families to sign if they can see that even if they don't make it here, there's a tradition of making a respectable career in the professional game.

Not for the first time, I'm with @angieram on this one.
I've supported Derby for over 40 frustrating years, sometimes up, mostly down, and recently I've found myself pondering on what it actually means to support the club.  After all, there is almost no link between the Derby of the late '70s and that of today - not the players, manager, owners; not even the ground.  Perhaps the kit, if you squint in a low light...
I think it was Rowett's preposterous sale of Will Hughes that really crystallised it for me - it's through the development of the club's young players that I most identify with the club.  I really enjoy watching young football players develop; like the vicarious thrill of hearing fans of other teams talk about "that young Derby player" they've seen; even more so when, like Buchanan this season, they show it on a bigger stage.
That's why, after yesterday's disappointment, I found myself looking at other results - Will Hughes at Watford, obviously, but also Jack Stretton at Stockport, Farrend Rawson (& Nigel Clough) at Mansfield, Charles Vernam at Bradford, wondering where JH-I is at Stevenage....  These players (and manager) are always "Derby" to me.
And so, after Rooney's ill-advised public comments about Louie Sibley yesterday, I no longer care whether Rooney goes or stays.  For me, Derby County isn't about Wayne Rooney, it's about Louie Sibley, Max Bird, Lee Buchanan and the others.   Keep going, boys.

Yes, so we will carry on playing Waggy instead then, who is doing so much better......
Give Sibley a run in the team and he will not only create chances, he'll score his fair share too.
Frankly, I don't think we will see it for Derby as he will be off at the end of the season. I might join him.....

Not only do you need your most creative players on the pitch, You also need someone to score those opportunities that those creative players create.
Both PC and WR have played Sibley...our goals for record is a paltry 25 in 35 games, A manager sees players in training, Sibley according to WR isn't doing enough to get in the starting 11, Should he pick him because he's a fans favourite, Or pick him and HOPE he can create those chances for our goal shy forwards to miss.
How many goals have we scored from open play...Rowett said 9, That's a shocking stat, We're putting to much pressure on a young man shoulders in the position we're in.

I actually forgot about the Wednesday game but I can recall him being bright again there and honestly saying the goal was just down to him is probably overcooking it. But it serves my overall point, Sibley makes a mistake -> dropped to not return for an age and yet there are several worse offenders who get a free pass.
We shouldn't be concerning yourself so much with the defensive contribution of the forward line when it oh so clearly the other way that's the problem

“I know he’s an exciting player who can create and score goals... ”
We’ve scored nine goals from open play in 36 games, if I was Wayne I think I’d be more willing to throw caution to the wind as we’re being dragged back into a relegation dog fight.

What's really really odd about these comments is Sibley gets what 5 minutes here, 5 minutes there shoved out wide and even when he does start and does well (Thinking of the Birmingham game particularly) he's prone to getting dropped anyway. What's he supposed to do ? Why is the onus on him to do something the minute he gets on the pitch but several players don't produce anything for weeks running and yet get pick regardless of form ?
If one forward player isn't performing to their standards then it's on them, if all of them aren't then the problem lies elsewhere.....
