I have no complaints with Warne playing 3 at the back today. Bradley was decent last week and it would have been harsh to drop him. He defended well again today. Maybe Sibley could’ve played LWB as Elder is too defensive for that position, but after last week it was understandable for him to play higher. I thought Sibley was like the old Sibley for the first half hour too, harrying everything until he hurt his foot.
We are just so toothless up top for obvious reasons. 2 sloppy mistakes cost us, but there was very little in the game and they barely troubled us either. My main issue was the start of the second half, we were terrible. The passing was appalling, from everyone. Wildsmith included. Also, Wilson gets into some great positions but he has to deliver more once there. A frustrating one.

I’ve heard 2 snippets of this interview now, and in both Pearce avoids the question like a slimy politician. Yes the NDA’s are in place but there are certain things he can surely talk about. Pearce hides behind the NDA’s or just repeats the well documented line. Hopefully he reveals more, but I don’t hold my breath. I don’t trust him. He must be competent for Clowes to keep him on, but I’m not a fan.

One of the questions was about his role in the previous regime. He could have spoken about that. Not everything is covered through an NDA. It’s not financial records or meetings he was asked to disclose. He just hid behind the NDA as he does for most things. 

Exeter form team in the league recently beaten Barnsley and Posh. Not only beaten, but swept aside. This is a statement performance. How can you not get behind Warne and the team after this. Yes we need to follow up with a win against Stevenage but most of the people I was debating with on Sunday didn’t think we had that performance in us. We are right in this!! 
Some excellent performances, adams is an excellent signing, max was outstanding tonight, Mendez ruthless and Collo a war horse who got kicked from pillar to post but led the line brilliantly. CBT clearly not right yet and struggling with niggles but if the affect of having him means Barkhuizen performs like that then that’s a win also. That 45 from Barks was the best I’ve seen him play. Brilliant!! 
The doubters even need to give Warne the credit he deserves tonight.

It was the same at the Q&A evening at Pride Park a couple of months back. He had some pre-prepared lines and he delivered them. When the floor was opened to Q&A - he just repeated them in various ways until we all lost the will

One fit centre forward for the next month is pretty shambolic though, is it not? 

Really sad he's going but unsurprised. Stuck with us when others forced moves. Dont get the vitriol at all - Knight didnt get it did he? I can see it happening. The justification will be, we’ll be stronger at the end of the window than at the start. If the Bird money allows them to put it towards a loan fee for a Smith/Gregory then so be it. I doubt we have the time to negotiate for a younger prospect. I’d like to think they wouldn’t use all of the Bird money on a Smith/Gregory type. If we get promotion and end up in the Championship it’ll be worth the risk.
