  1. Looks like just single ticket seats left for Blackpool. They best open the East Stand section up
  2. Does anyone know when tickets become available for the East Stand blocks near the away fans? I’m holding fire for the Blackpool game but it’s a risky tactic. There down to below 850 now.
  3. A perfect away day performance. Decent first half, complete control without creating too much. 2nd half, good 2 goals, soaked up the pressure and hit them on the counter. It could’ve been more. Other results went in our favour. Game on!
  4. Bolton battered Barnsley. I think Barnsley are a pretty average team, performances aren’t great but results have been decent. Sounds familiar. Peterborough are the dark horses, picking up form again and have a decent run in. It’s going to be tight
  5. Unfortunate comments, yes. But he’s not a racist. I don’t think there would be a backlash at all. He’s an ex Derby great. It won’t happen though. Not for the reasons stated though.
  6. Frustratingly we had him here at the start of last season. Unfortunately we let him go. Can’t see Hull releasing him now.
  7. Cashin at left back? He played there for last 10-15 at Barnsley. Could still be a 4. I’d prefer that to 3 at the back.
  8. I have no complaints with Warne playing 3 at the back today. Bradley was decent last week and it would have been harsh to drop him. He defended well again today. Maybe Sibley could’ve played LWB as Elder is too defensive for that position, but after last week it was understandable for him to play higher. I thought Sibley was like the old Sibley for the first half hour too, harrying everything until he hurt his foot. We are just so toothless up top for obvious reasons. 2 sloppy mistakes cost us, but there was very little in the game and they barely troubled us either. My main issue was the start of the second half, we were terrible. The passing was appalling, from everyone. Wildsmith included. Also, Wilson gets into some great positions but he has to deliver more once there. A frustrating one.
  9. Fantastic win. Delighted for Sibbo. The fans were brilliant in the 2nd half and we produced an improved performance. BUT… I can’t understand Warnes selection today. We were so defensive. 3 at the back and 2 defensive minded ‘wing backs’ was poor. Playing just 2 in the middle when Bird has flourished in a 3 was crazy. We had zero runners getting in and beyond in the first half. Fair lay to the lads for grinding out a win, but that first hour was proper pony. We could’ve made it easier with a more forward thinking midfield/defence. But, we got the 3 points and that’s all that matters.
  10. Oh come on. CEO and finance officer of a club going into admin. Of course he has some responsibility. Morris is the ultimate one of course, but Pearce constantly said we weren’t in danger of FFP. He was wrong.
  11. Fair enough. But as I said, there was a question which wasn’t asking about any of the intricacies of administration, merely his role at the time. I don’t see why he couldn’t talk about that. Pearce has failed to take responsibility for what happened.
  12. One of the questions was about his role in the previous regime. He could have spoken about that. Not everything is covered through an NDA. It’s not financial records or meetings he was asked to disclose. He just hid behind the NDA as he does for most things.
  13. I’ve heard 2 snippets of this interview now, and in both Pearce avoids the question like a slimy politician. Yes the NDA’s are in place but there are certain things he can surely talk about. Pearce hides behind the NDA’s or just repeats the well documented line. Hopefully he reveals more, but I don’t hold my breath. I don’t trust him. He must be competent for Clowes to keep him on, but I’m not a fan.
  14. How would I know? I’m not privy to finances, talks, offers etc. It’s poor though, you have to admit that? I’m sure the club tried to bring players in, but it’s very poor planning again. Last summer was a farce at times too. The Waghorn signing being a prime example, signing after Forsyths testimonial. This window hasn’t gone to plan either. Warne admitted that last Jan cost us and left us short. That’s 3 windows where planning and recruitment have been questionable. In our position it’s more difficult, obviously. But, there are clear issues somewhere at the club. Even you must admit that?
  15. One fit centre forward for the next month is pretty shambolic though, is it not?
  16. I can see it happening. The justification will be, we’ll be stronger at the end of the window than at the start. If the Bird money allows them to put it towards a loan fee for a Smith/Gregory then so be it. I doubt we have the time to negotiate for a younger prospect. I’d like to think they wouldn’t use all of the Bird money on a Smith/Gregory type. If we get promotion and end up in the Championship it’ll be worth the risk.
  17. I very much doubt this too. P’Boro won’t help a rival out unless it’s at a massive premium. Wouldn’t be worth it.
  18. Not a chance we’ve got £2.5m for Bird.
  19. You mention loaning out these players before they get given a proper chance in the first team, but when was the last time this worked for us? All of our successes from the academy have occurred without a loan. Riggott, Elliot, Hughes, Hendrick, Sibley, Knight, Bird, Cashin all went straight in. The last loan that worked for us was Sturridge over 25 years ago. With us being in League 1 and having a cat 1 academy, surely they should be ready for league 1 football now? Yes it’s a big step, but where is the evidence that loaning out works for us? Integrate them slowly with subs and cup games (EFL Trophy) whilst still getting top coaching should be the way ahead when in this league.
  20. I don’t know. Warne probably doesn’t either as he barely gave any of our academy lads a chance in the EFL Trophy. A big opportunity missed to check if these players are ready in a non pressure situation.
  21. Why didn’t we play a 3 then? Thompson as a ‘10’ is bizarre. He doesn’t have the guile, touch or attacking prowess for an attacking role. He’s a hustler. That should have been utilised deeper to gain control of the midfield.
  22. I’ve defender Bird in the past, but my patience has gone. He should be dominating at this level. Instead he’s chasing shadows. Doesn’t contribute enough offensively or defensively. Powder puff. Can’t tackle. Poor. He’ll go in the summer. A lower champ team will take him. He needs to play in a 3 though. Him and Hourihane are getting done every time as a 2.
  23. Yeah he was massively exposed. 2v1, they had acres on that side. Not his fault though. He could’ve closed down a bit quicker, but the issue was how easy it was to switch the play and how much space they had with an overload to go with it. Derbys shape was shocking for that goal.
  24. Did you watch the game? Easily our best player. Only a 7/10 but decent. Best of a bad bunch
  25. The wage contribution is probably the maximum the EFL will allow us to pay. We’ve also lost some bargaining power now TJJ will be out. Desperation time!
