roboto got a reaction from DavesaRam in Stupid goal kicks
It keeps possession, but as has also been mentioned, isn’t likely to launch a quick attack.
The more standard modern option is the keeper plays it cohort to a CB who can then pass short or kick long. I think our variation is meant to make use of Roos’ usually good distribution to Forsyth/Buchanan on the left wing if the play it from the back option is not on.
However, this time an unfortunate heavy touch got punished.

Arsenal have been doing it this season too. It can work, but without players capable of that style, it's just an error waiting to happen. Even if Roos could cope with it, he doesn't have the passing ability for it to give us any sort of advantage.
Disagree on your plan B though, i don't ever want to see hoof ball again after last year. ?

The club come to an agreement with the EFL regarding our 'punishment' and we suddenly get a half-decent ref and a penalty in the same gaame? Too much of a coincidence methinks......

The only other teams I’ve seen do it are the Italian national team and some Serie A teams. It can be effective with players who are comfortable on the ball under pressure, but today the Bournemouth press was quick and effective and a sloppy touch from Roos cost us a goal.
I don’t mind the thought behind it, but we need to have a plan B if we are facing a strong pressing team. Aka hoof.

I reckon that 2nd "reporter" won't be getting invited back to ask questions anytime soon. Trying to get quotes from Rooney about us already being relegated and attempting a poor joke about how well things are going for Rooney... What a twit.

Need to be able to offer him a new contract soon. The kid is going places and hopefully with Derby.

First few times I saw him in the Academy games you could really see he has something. Not just pace but skill and an ability to use his body strength well. His reading of the game and positional sense will soon get better. #FestyisaRam

Nixon's article mentions another mysterious new bidder. Steve Kirchner... is he related to Chris?

Happy with Lawrence as false 9 over Baldock to be honest. CKR can offer a different option off the bench if/when needed.
Hope Jozwiak gets the ball passes into him when he makes his moves into good areas. Then we’ll see a bit more from him in terms of product.
I hope we can get a new owner sorted and embargo lifted by January.

You do know he was just liking someone else's tweet there? He didn't write it himself.
Oh, and it is grammar, by the way.

It seems that Slync.io is very much invested into blockchain stuff, which could mean he’s very wealthy, about to be very wealthy, or the whole internet will explode and we will all be poor and die out like the dinosaurs.

His wife's Twitter (assume it's hers) makes interesting reading. She's got links to horse racing and in particular Coolmore Stud.
It's my belief that the photo's that were out last week at the Luton game including this fella(in shot talking to Rooney)Gary Cook and a well known assocaiate of the Coolmore operation.
Those who know racing, will know that some of the big Irish owners were part owners of Manchester United before it was sold to the Glazier family and they are also own golf courses and resorts.

It could be, it just looks a bit small time from a quick Google.
I'm not saying it won't happen, but a quick comparison to, say, Mel's own business career it looks a bit underwhelming at first glance.
That's why I suggested he may be part of a bigger consortium.
