  1. He was in weekend training pics on social media ahead of tonights match, so I'd expect him to still be available and perhaps that also means we're expecting him to stay.
  2. We’re talking about an old pub at Hatton Garden. edit: didn’t realise this had already been clarified 😂
  3. It's common around there TBF. Think there's a "Jack The Clipper" barbers among other cunning word plays...
  4. Work around Hatton Garden now, so rarely go back there. Was there for a trade show in November, but chose to eat in Spitalfields Market after seeing the queue outside Poppies! 😂 I'm yet to find a suitable chippy for my East Midlands tastebuds down here (moved down in 2008), but I'll bear your suggestions in mind.
  5. The staff in Poppies (very overrated IMO) won't understand any requests that aren't on the menu. I tried before when I used to work around there.
  6. The pedant in me wants to know where the missing game has gone? 😉 But also, the numbers don't seem great at a glance, but that's 15 starts out of 20 (or 19 depending on which numbers are right) appearances. It's not the worst return from a loan spell ever.
  7. If we get CBT then I’d be happy with that. Yes, as some have pointed out, he does look like he will have heavy touches and perhaps he is inconsistent with his form, but we are in League One with a modest budget and he has attributes that will help us and if he does gel with the team and continue his goal scoring this season then he would also be a decent option if we’re back in Champ next season.
  8. Maybe the player wanted to return or we've had an enquiry from a team higher up the leagues to take him for the second half of the season?
  9. I too am surprised at some of the players we've released over recent years that I thought looked a great prospect coming through the youth ranks. However, having been around some London youth team setups with my two young lads at the moment and talking with lots of scouts and coaches, it isn't just about what they do in one or two opportunities that they're given with first team/cup fixtures/loans that determines whether they get offered the contracts. They have to be consistent with their training, show the right attitude and prove they have all the non-physical attributes that are needed to deal with the pressures of being a professional footballer. The coaches see them a lot more than us fans do and will know exactly what their character is like. A lot of young players move around academies at younger ages as their attitude can see them fall out with coaches or not be able to keep up with the demands required. Over time players can develop these mental skills and it helps them later in their career to settle down, but for some these changes can be too little too late, and even the most skilful players can just fade away, never to be seen again. Ravel Morrison as a United youth player is a famous example of this. Obviously, by the time he came here he was late in his career and had a reputation that followed him like a bad smell. If only he could've developed his attitude and applied himself at a younger age then his career trajectory would've been very different. Cashin feels like it's the other way around. Not necessarily the most skilful player earlier in his development, but he's applied himself well, earned his pro contract and his first team opportunity and is now reaping the rewards of being the first name on the team sheet and a possible big move in the future for him.
  10. Wasn't the original tweet a play for him to get a job as a pundit because he is so useless as a manager and perhaps the worst option to become a coach with his training ground history? Of all the people in the world, the one I would least like to listen to talk about football is Joey Barton.
  11. Think they've got enough Donkeys up there already without sending more.
  12. Why would you take Ebosele out? He's a first team regular in Serie A now. Mainly playing as right mid/wing back in a 3-5-2. I'd think he's be one of the most valuable on current market value.
  13. Is he better or worse than Dobbin? In your opinion
  14. With his past injury record he will always be a risk, but without those issues he would be playing at a much higher level and we wouldn’t have a chance of signing him. While we are playing at this level we need to take a few (educated) risks on signing players that have had setbacks, but have the potential to play at a higher level. TJJ is ideal for us right now. We need forwards that give us a different dimension from Collins and with him only having 6 months left on his contract then we can potentially get a bargain deal on someone with his attributes. Arsenal won’t be offering him a new deal now, it’s up to the player to find a club that will help his career take off. I hope it’s with us and he goes on to get back to full fitness.
  15. Scapegoat for this afternoon sorted. Cheers
  16. Away in Japan visiting family at the moment, so was asleep through the match. Woke up to the score notifications on my phone and saw Cashin had scored the winner. Thought we’d given away a 2-goal lead and then nicked it, but further scrolling back through notifications showed a lovely comeback win from 2 down. Ive read through all the pages here and was laughing to myself during the first half posts. Great belief by the team and some of the posters on here though and we win again. EIEIEIO
  17. Amazing you wrote the tune to "Everything I do" about 5 years before Bryan Adams did. Did you receive royalties? Could've helped out during the admin years that...
  18. Depending which road you choose good luck getting out easily. Can get congested on match days around here. I live a 20 minute walk away from the ground and a lot of Orient fans prefer to park a bit further away to get a clean run out after the match.
  19. Logo kinda looks like one of those little blue pills. But hey, whatever gets the boys up for the task.
  20. No need for him to lose control of the ball after that push. If he wasn't so OTT and theatrical about it then the ref would maybe have given him a free kick.
  21. They highlight the timeframe of February 2023 with a downturn in her mental wellbeing. You can join the dots, but someone joined Sheffield United Women's team then and was suspended following her death. The names not being published whilst investigations are under way, but I think it's much deeper than just about how much she was earning.
