Every week. Clubs dip in and out of form, move up and down the table. Ultimately come May the teams over the season are ranked 1 to 24 where they deserve to be.

Probably being a bit thick, but why does it matter how many goals you deserve, or should score? What's the point?

With football though, it’s not like snooker where you can line the balls up and have 2 players take the same shot.
xG fails to take into account the ability of the opposition defenders and keeper.
It fails to take into account weather conditions.
It fails to take into account the current situation in so many way, home, away, comfortable lead, behind, fitness level, carrying knocks.
If it was a game played between robots in an indoor arena I could see the value.
Comparing it to shots as a metric is nonsensical, shots and shots on target are facts. Indisputable facts.
Nothing more than a stat that with possession gives you a rough idea as to how the game as gone.
Never really see anyone give it much value as you see others try and give xG.
Just watch the game. You will know how it’s gone and who played better, who created the better chances to win the game and who’s finishing or mistakes let them down.

So Nyambe is now doubtful for tomorrow. Seems it was a good decision to pull him off and try to protect him for the run in which will be challenging for all. Everybody would be criticising Warne if he kept him on and he broke down!!
Still poor defending for the goal though. Ho hum, we go again!

I'm all for space exploration in principle, but it seems to me the timescales being thrown about are wildly optimistic.  Given the fragility of the human body and it's unsuitability for other worlds there is every reason to progress very cautiously.
Human population is projected to peak at about 11 billion before the end of the century and then fall from that point onwards, so there is every possibility we won't end up overpopulating this planet after all.
Catastrophic events that will wipe us all out from space are a remote possibility, even if they are technically possible. The more realistic threats for extinction are already here on earth.  Nuclear War and deadly pandemics being the biggest two to spring to mind. Climate change, although potentially disastrous, is not a extinction level event for me. If surviving such events is really one of the principal reasons for building Mars colonies, then it's surely far easier to building self contained, isolated and safe colonies here on Earth that would survive those calamities...underground or even under the sea.  And much cheaper too.
I don't think humanity's problem is that we think Earth is too special, our problem is rather is that we don't realize how special it really is. We take it far too much for granted. No matter how successful any potential explorations of space could be, we will never find any planet or moon as suitable for human life as this one. That's surely a given, seeing as we have evolved on Earth, and have billions of years of adapting to Earth's particular habitat behind us. Our physiology and anatomy has been determined by our home planet.
Again, I am in favour of space exploration, it's a great source of scientific innovation among other things, but right now, given all the problems we face on this planet, our larger priority should be dealing with terrestrial issues.

David got a reaction from Crewton in What would you ask?
Possibly, although the answers to a couple of those or plainly obvious.
It was reported that Max Bird informed the club he was not going to sign a new contract at the club, expiring in the summer either way he was leaving in the summer. They opted to take the money now with a loan back as oppose to going through a tribunal. Makes sense.
The striker, you can almost guarantee it will be a case of look, there was none available with the budget we had that Warne wanted. Clubs like to wait until the end of the window and that's where movements take place.
We made offers for a couple (which we know to be Smith and Gregory) which we thought was more than fair, and won't be held to ransom, or we agreed a deal but was later pulled by the other club too late for us to do anything else.
It's not going to be a oh god, we did want a striker didn't we, we completely forgot to even look for one, silly us.
This can't be a oh my, didn't even think of that, we've all been fans of this club long enough and we're aware clubs don't even announce transfer fee figures anymore, so what kind of information can anyone seriously expect to get, the figures of wages offered, a list of names we tried for, telephone conversations why it never happened.
Whatever happened happened, it's done, we can't change anything now, just got to get on with it and pray Collins stays fit.

To be fair, if you search star in this topic.....

Not sure anyone could argue with @YorkshireRam that Collins has been a star this season, his goals have been vital for us, including penalties.
He never said our star player, which would suggest he has been our best, that's up for debate with Nelson, Cashin and NML worthy nominations.
Finally "many", well there's 2 people that have used the word star across 4 posts, 3 from yourself, so not sure how you are calculating this.
I'm also not sure why anyone would want to downplay is role in our season, deducting goals as they come from the spot is pretty petty, if we went up on the last game of the season, Collins scoring a 90th minute penalty to finish 2nd, would we be sat here saying we should have been in the play offs really? Of course not.

The topic is positives taken from yesterday, which in fairness it is a positive that others didn’t take advantage of us only drawing.
You could argue it’s a negative not taking advantage and sticking 3 points in Warne’s backpack, which would also be fair.
Disappointment sums up yesterday for myself. Not angry like others appear to be (not yourself).

David got a reaction from Carl Sagan in Twitter Rebrand to 𝕏
Forget the cars and rockets, I have no interest in them at all, not sure how you can’t see the difference between old twitter and new twitter, how?
    - The awful X branding, which he took from one night out of the replies to a tweet he made. The same X he tried with PayPal and failed.
    - The twitter domain is hardcoded into the site where he can’t even change it, might have been a better chance had he not sacked off all the lead engineers.
    - Verification system gone. It was flawed, yet the idea was sound and most cases worked. Now it’s a paid system.
    - Paid subscribers replies are now boosted to the top, many of them spammy or Elon’s followers. Pay to be seen is the biggest change that’s destroyed the platform.
    - Limited number of posts for non subscribers, DM limits.
    - The For You feed is full of Elon and his followers like DogeDesigner that appear to do nothing more than spend their day fluffing his ego.
    - Ads are all drop shipping sites now, repetitive.
    - Have I mentioned that god damn awful X branding?
I have no real problem with bringing his version of free speech to the platform, releasing the likes of Trump, KT Hopkins, Tommy Robinson and allowing Joey Barton to make a fool of himself. Go for it.
When I say he’s destroyed it, I’m referring to the points above, which I’m not sure you could argue against, yet you will because it’s Elon.
As I said previously, I had no prior interest in Elon, non whatsoever, so this isn’t some historical hatred that has expanded into X.
I’m a simple man, used Twitter for football and news away from politics. It was by far the greatest platform on the internet. Now it’s just destroyed in my personal opinion and I’m pissed because there is no real alternative out there so I find myself having to check several websites more often and don’t get the same interactions.
