  1. Brutal for Coventry and their fans.

The feeling of turning round a 3-0 score line in 20 minutes, to then thinking you’ve won it at the death…..for the captain to go and Sky the penalty.

I’d be emotionally done in after that for the next week.

Man Utd players got to be feeling pretty embarrassed after that.

As I woke up tired, hungover and jet lagged this morning, I had a thought. While it's always great hearing stories about the glory days of the 70s, the iconic 80s and the fun 90s, there's a whole generation of Derby fans who have only ever known disappointment. I myself had my first season ticket in the 2006/07 Billy Davies season, but I was far too young to appreciate it.

Since then, it's been a mix of hope, heartbreak and 'nearly' moments. Our generation of supporters have witnessed other clubs' fans celebrating siuccess (sometimes at our expense), but we find it difficult to fathom what it would actually feel like for Derby to ever get over the line.

Yesterday, as I walked back back to the bus with my arm round my mate's shoulder, belting Derby songs at the top of our voices, I had the first taste of what it might feel like to experience success as a Derby fan. This morning, I started making preparations for post-game jaegerbombs and cigars next weekend. And thinking about how I'll be raising a glass to the lad that we all miss so much.

We're not over the line yet. But I'm well into dreaming territory. And for us fans who aren't old enough to know glory, it's going to be oh so sweet.

    Up the Rams.

Perfect and much needed post on this forum.

Whilst this isn’t up there with becoming Champions of England, for many at your age this will be as you say, the first taste of success as a Derby County supporter.

Our opportunities for success are limited due to the state of the game. This could be the only cause for celebration for the next decade, plus.

Think some of the older fans need to appreciate that and not spoil this moment with the constant doom.

I have 2 promotions under my belt, Jim Smith and Billy Davies, even your post even makes me feel like a veteran, yet I’ll still enjoy this one.

Just booked a table down the local in front of the screen, going down with a bunch of mates who I will fit out with Derby shirts from my collection for the day.

To quote Paul Warne, up them beautiful Rams! 🐏

  3. Never thought we would have a topic on those on this forum, but here we are, we are here because you know what, with Joey Barton wildly posting misogynist content over on X, it's about time they had some praise rather than criticism.

    And they deserve it.

An all-girl team has become football's latest "invincibles" by going unbeaten all season - while playing in a boys' league.

Queens Park Ladies under-12s finished top of division three of the Bournemouth Youth Football League, with 18 wins, four draws and no defeats.

They dominated the 11 boys' teams in the league, scoring 61 goals and conceding only 11.

By the time they had played all their matches, they had amassed 58 points, 16 more than the second-placed team, which had two games still to play.

That is some achievement, fair play to them 👏

The reason why it’s more evident with Warne is because he won’t get more out of players. He isn’t a top coach like a Farke or Bielsa.

If our team is bottom three standard, then we will go down with him.

If our team is bottom six standard, then we will finish bottom six with him.

While some managers can get more out of players and have the team achieving more than their actual ability (Neil Warnock as an example), Paul Warne doesn’t fall into that category as shown by his Rotherham spells.

Funny you should mention Bielsa when Warne is criticised for running the players into the ground.

Anyway, you're comparing managers that have much longer CV's and been at clubs where the base level of player has been better than what Warne has had at Rotherham to work with.

By going up, we are entering new territory with Warne having a club of this size to manage, we are not Rotherham.

I just can't understand the eagerness to write him off as being this incapable fool, surely the bloke deserves a little respect and a chance to manage this club in the Championship and prove his inabilities?

You went from this team wouldn't stay up, well duh, shifting it to his inability to get the best out of players whilst we're 1 point away from achieving promotion.

Feels like you've just set out to moan and piss on peoples chips on a day where we have moved to within a point away from promotion, no matter how much you may dislike or not rate his abilities, the timing is just bizarre, why can't we just sit and enjoy the moment instead of playing Nostradamus.

Whilst it might not be promotion to the Premier League, it's still a promotion and a significant one at that, if you can't just sit back, crack open a beer and enjoy it, I don't know why you bother with the game. It's not often we will have moments like this where the club has achieved something.

FA Cup, League Cup? Not a chance, the only other things we have left are promotion to the Premier League and Premier League survival, now in a week where the FA and PL have colluded to F the football pyramid over, to think the only time we can celebrate will be when we join that lot is s sad state of affairs.

And that's coming from someone that's desperate to see us back in the Premier League as well.

    Agree with this but

There’s been a few threads over the past few years and whether it’s poking fun I know you’ve called them tinpot. Thing is for many, until recently they were like a 2nd team to many Rams fans south of Derby. Why? Because they were non league and for many a year their rivals were Gresley Rovers until Tamworth tried stepping up.

Anyhow, that’s the background for why when Derby were away or not playing, their numbers would increase with genuine Derby fans, with nothing better to do . What changed was them gaining league status, a couple of quick promotions and us meandering around the 2nd tier too long; seriously Burton shouldn’t be our rivals, they’ve punched above their weight and they had a few youngsters latch on, rather than go to the bigger midlands clubs like us, Villa, Leicester even Stoke or the Gumps. So much so the kids have largely tried to get under our skins, claim they’re better than us and generally big themselves up as equal rivals, if not better in their eyes.

For that last reason and my kids had to yawn through their jibes at schools in Burton, I’m with you all the way @David 👍😂

(though I think they might scrape up)

Always the danger of having a 2nd team in the same football pyramid. I have a nephew that's a Manchester United and Grimsby Town fan, I ask him, if you meet in the cup, who's your team, says it's a win/win situation.

Come on now, that to me is worse than those half and half scarves.

As soon as Burton were promoted into the same league as us, it was time to part ways, there are 6 points to play for and we want all 6. I don't get it, but each to their own, if that makes them happy fair play.

Myself? I hope they go down and we have that distance between the 2 clubs again which if you look at the status of both clubs, that league between us should be.

U have to buy it from somewhere unless ur doing peer to peer

i buy off nexo and revolute and just transfer it to my ledger

    its not hard

copy and paste ur wallet address and press a button

It's not hard to create a website.

Things are only easy with knowledge, you've thrown in another thing now, ledger, is that another term for a digital wallet?

Look back at your own personal experience, from day 1 of reading into Bitcoin to actually investing, how long did that take?

But he will need help this summer. This current side under Warne finishes bottom three next season.

Not sure why this ever needs to be said.

How many football clubs have been promoted and not made a single signing?

We have players out of contract, Bird and other on loan players that will return to their clubs, what this exact team could do in the Championship is not worth even thinking about as it isn't going to happen.

  8. I don't like the smell of the town.

I don't like their online fanbase who despise Derby despite their match attending fanbase being largely made up of Derby fans that couldn't get an away ticket that weekend.

I don't like that love in, especially when we have had to compete with them in the same division over multiple seasons, our fans are effectively helping fund opposition with ticket sales.

I don't like the thought process that because Im a Derby fan I should automatically like, wish their club well or show interest in them. I have zero connection to the town, we have other clubs in Derbyshire that we could help fund that are much lower in the football pyramid.

I don't like their badge or kits, they look more befitting of a Sunday league side than a professional Football League outfit.

I don't like BBC Radio Derby having to cover a Staffordshire team, the coverage should be shared over with Stoke.

Does this give you your own local wallet or are you holding it with a broker like coinbase? (And therefore at risk of losing it all when they over leverage and go bankrupt)

    Beat me to it.

I was under the impression true Bitcoiners had digital wallets and avoided brokers.

I would usually agree with all that, but all those posts from Cricket Lover shows how they know exactly what content you consume, even if you pretend that is not the case!

Funny thing is, go look at the account, barely anything about cricket.

And look at the impressions these are getting, they have 635 followers yet 17k views one of them, his latest one over 4k in 25 minutes.

Probably getting paid for all that s**** as well.
