Even then, does it normally have a negative effect? I don't ever see us dropping to bits at 90 mins. Bit of a myth in my opinion.
We've got the 5th best home form in the league, 43 points out of a possible 66 with 12 wins, 7 draws and 3 losses. (Joint fewest losses in the league). Norwich and Sheff United currently have 46 points out of a possible 66 so we're one win away from automatic promotion form at home.
If anything, people leaving early has a positive effect to the teams results with the look of it!

It definitely should have been Keogh, but that’s taking nothing away from Tomori who has progressed more than any player I’ve seen at Derby.
It’s even more frustrating that this means we’re even less likely to sign him next season.

I think that might be the angle they used in the opening of the recently uploaded Review Show. I've made a .gif of that clip and slowed it right down. I agree that it's a lot clearer from this angle and I agree with you that it shows the right call was made. You can see that the QPR defender catches Bogle around his right ankle with his trailing leg before he reaches the ball with his lunging leg. You don't really see that from the other angle, but that's the foul and I think the referee was right to give it.

No need to dissect the game, wouldn't make great reading/writing. The last 9 minutes is all that mattered in the end, haven't seen the ground like that in a fair few years.
Despite the clear tension in the stands I also think there was a feeling we'd win, we just did it the hard way. Like the really really hard way. I've left early in the past and will do in the future no doubt but there was absolutely no way you could leave that game unless you 100% had to. Loved the "It's happening again" from QPR. (QPR? Lolz).
No peno for me, gets the ball first. Makes up for the two we should have had on Friday though.

I say it time and time again. You wouldn’t leave ten minutes before the end of a film would you? Can’t stand the sight of people streaming down the stairs when we’re still fighting.
    Today was absolutely glorious.

It all started around 7:30am when I got a phone call from my brother asking if an American visitor at his work can come with us to the game.
A few family duties followed then I was dropped off at my brother's work place. While my brother was locking up I was chatting away with the American bloke and heard a bit of a bang thinking nothing of it. The American then spotted smoke coming from behind the opposite building so I ran to check it out. Could immediately see it was going to turn into a major issue when we saw more gas canisters. Being the only people around, we rang the fire service. More explosions followed. Sirens everywhere. All the local scags turn up on bikes. Just mad. My brother and the American move their car around the back and off we pop in a taxi to the game. Looking back at the smoke from pride park was pretty surreal. Go for a pint in the yard and everybody is talking about it.
We then go into the club shop and the American guy buys about 5 shirts! Onto the match. Despite it being absolutely terrible, the American was absolutely in awe. His words after 'your fans, WOW!'. He'd never seen anything like it. The togetherness, the tribalism. Amazing.
Never felt so proud to be a Ram. We've got something special between us here.
Anyway, didn't get home til late. Police wouldn't let us have the cars back. My brother got to work this morning to a ticket on his car issued around 10pm. He got a message around 2am to say the cordon had been lifted and his car is free now!

I've not felt "that feeling" that special feeling about football in such long a time , with the risk of sounding like a soppy poo . I explained to my lad (6) how much the penalty meant as we were awarded it . The look in his eyes when that raw went up as Wilson scored was something else , I said to him "this is what footballs all about" . Bloody brilliant , sorry if I bored you there just needed to share it with people who could possibly relate .
Regarding the game , the first half was poor , no real flow. They came to do a job and stuck to it. Thought we learnt more the second half , upped the tempo and kept withing the play . Thought Bennett had a huge impact when he came on , offered that physical presence out wide that was missing. Marriott and Nuge changed the dimension drastically aswell when coming on . 3 points Saturday now Derby

Wow! What a way to spend 10 minutes of your life hen you had lost the will to live any more of it!
Perhaps the only cure for such a lackadaisical performance is to make performing well a condition of getting paid. The first half in particular was absolutely dreadful, almost as if the players actually don't want to get promoted. In previous seasons I could argue that players were avoiding promotion because they knew they weren't up to Premier :League standard and would be out of a job. But this time round, most of them will be gone regardless, but I am absolutely baffled as to why the players think that they can just amble around the pitch like they are on a wander round the local park with their kids.
The second half did have more urgency about them, but our general play was still pretty poor, but at least we seemed to be keen to be poor. Frank Lampard said that he had poin ted out the player's being half a yard short for every challenge and every second ball, and half a second too long deciding what to do with the ball, and there was an improvement in the second half, hopefully as a result of the half-time talk.
The support form the crowd was close to stupendous. It died down after about 30 minutes, largely because there was little to support, but picked up again in the second half. Some of it was down to growing frustration at the appalling time-wasting, and the wet-lettuce leaf of a referee who didn't have the balls to do anything about it. Yes, he stuffed 9 minutes extra time on at the end, but most of that would be from substitutions and treatment to injuries and to fake injuries. What he should have done is wave his yellow card at the offenders early on in the game, although their keeper would have been sent off before half-time. Sticking a load of time on at the end was the coward's way out.
Someone has already mentioned that the announcement of the 9 minutes time added on knocked the stuffing out of QPR who seemed to think they could get away with their time wasting. Well why not? everybody else does against Derby County! When the penalty came it was greeted both with joy and incredulity - how on earth have Derby been awarded a penalty? We've already had 4 this season! It could have gone either way, so no-one expected it to be given, especially after yet another clear-cut penalty had been turned down earlier in the match. And it was brilliantly taken by Wilson - it was unsaveable, and to have the bottle to take it, and keep his head despite all the slugging was excellent. The noise from the crowd was phenomenal - I have never heard it so loud - a massive sense of relief because we really needed that goal. But it was also a huge release from all the frustration  of the disgraceful amount of time wasting - Lampard said he thought the keeper had the ball in his hand for about 30 minutes of the match!
Wilson was a bit spawny for the second because he mishit the shot but got away with it, and it was party time. And QPR got what they deserved for the way in which they approached the game. Like Gary Monk on Saturday, how Eustace can be happy with that sort of behaviour I have no idea.
Although Tomori got man of the match, I don't think anyone really stood out today. there were far too many below par and unable to pass the ball properly. Tomori got caught out on a few occasions, and the defenders were far too happy just to head the ball somewhere, rather than to a team mate or out of danger, or actually get the ball down and play football - we can sometimes be quite good at that. Surprisingly Nugent did OK when he came on. He still never looked like scoring, but did all right. Wilson was almost anonymous, although he did show a bit more when he was moved into the middle. Teams have worked out that they don't have to clatter him out of the game, although some still try it just for the hell of it. They simply have to be a bit physical and it is job done on him. Mount was still our only really creative player - one counter attack only happened because he ran out from defense and forced Johnson to play the ball up the wing to him instead of dallying around until the chance to break had gone. Marriott also made a difference when he came on, both in terms of attacking threat and in linkup play.
Still, we got 3 points got into the top 6, improved our goal difference and took advantage of other scores. Now who'd have thought that ewas going to happen?

I love mase and thought he put himself about and showed for the ball at every opportunity but he had a trampoline first touch today. Couldn't get the ball under control at all.
Wont gold it against him though. We needed a win, got the win and he contributed on the pitch.
Nugent deserves a mention too. Like a wasp at a picnic he was there and involved.

QPR were truly awful, but they spent a lot of time in our half due to how absolutely wasteful we were. While those stats look nice, they had  2 or 3 really really golden opportunities before we scored.

Johnson had a 63% pass completion. Which is awful for him.
But even worse, Mount had 59% and Lawrence had 50%! FIFTY! That's at Goalkeeper clearance level.

Our transitional play was truly diabolical and I really hope it improves in the next few games so we can at least finish with strength even if we don't get into the playoffs/win the playoffs BUT I don't care about us improving it if we continue to win despite those poor elements 😄 Feel great right now.

For my 2000 post I thought it prudent to change my profile photo and start a new thread with a topic close to my heart right now. So saddened from this distance to see how this government is going after ex service personel and bringing prosecutions. Im sure this will be quite a diversive topic but as a former soldier I think it needs to be much more high profile in media than it is.
The good friday agreement has allowed many terrorists to have their convictions quashed and overturned. Its a bitter pill to swallow but I and many others will swallow it if it means peace. Thats my conssesion. Its tough to take but we do so.
Now, the other side of the coin. Why are British military personel from recent and way back being subjected to what I view as a witch hunt? I dont get it. You join, you know that at some point you are likely to be asked to fight. Fighting comes in many guises and I promise you that have never been there that in the heat of battle, and the stress of the moment, not everything is text book. Its impossible to stay 100% within the rules of engagement all the time. You do that and its highly possible you wont be coming back home to friends and family. All who serve know this.
    Shame on you government.

Depends how you play if aerial ability is a necessity, you just need to be able to put it in the net more often than not in multiple ways. Vydra was pants in the air yet ended up top goalscorer, Pukki looking like the same and he'll be in the Prem net year. Play to peoples strength's, hoofing balls 2 yards above his head isn't playing to Waggy's strengths, as it wasn't Martin's when he was getting stick.
No short memories here, I'm an absolute Martin fanboy til death but I'm not going to pretend he was something he wasn't. His heading ability was something criticised whilst here and the arguments the same for Waghorn as it was for Martin. Both pretty steady in the air, nothing to shout home about but not terrible either.
Whilst there's plenty of excuses/reasons to give Martin's form over the past 2 years a bit of leeway I don't think comparing a striker who's scored 24 more goals than him in the same amount of time is a joke. He's the closest thing we've had to a Chris Martin type pivot for our team and he's banging in the goals.

Morning all. Needles here, reincarnated as Needless.
Left dcfcfans due to family illness. Never stopped going to games, just used them as a couple of hours escape instead of the all-consuming passion that being a football fan used to be for me. There was a phase when I was getting my anger out at the games, but that was proving toxic to my mental state, so i drew back for a while.
I certainly take it far less seriously now; losing used to ruin my weekend, now it won't ruin my walk back to the car park. I've no time now for the 'hate' for other clubs. Just want to watch a game and have a chat about it with other Rams.
