  1. With that attendance, they couldn't invade a care home.
  2. Because he works for the DET, it'll be a Peugeot. Bland, loads of horrible adverts and it never works properly.
  3. I think one major aspect is living within your means. I appreciate it's really difficult at the moment with costs of every day life. From all the podcasts and books I've read on money over the years, a key theme I see is many rich folks completely cut out "wants" at the beginning. I see so many people who have taken on loans and debt who cannot pay it back quickly and they are stuck with it for potentially decades. I read somewhere in a paper that car loans account over a quarter of the average full time worker's salary for many under 30s. It highlights this desire to buy the newest, shiniest thing. New phone, new car, new clothes etc. I'm not exactly stating this will make you a millionaire. Cutting back on wants, not needs, will always give you more security financially.
  4. Good job that Taylor couldn't score in Bubbles.
  5. I had no issues with him at right back. I thought he did really well, I know he favours a centre midfielder position however he's our 4th best CM as it stands. Another problem is Warne had every intention on buying wing backs in the summer which wouldn't suit Smith's game as a full back. Maybe he thought pushing him back into midfielder was the answer, I just don't think the dynamic of Bird, Smith and Hourihane ever consistently worked. Technically a very good player, a shame we already have two quality technical midfielders at this level.
  6. What gripes me about this awful scandal is people at the top of the tree really think chucking financial compensation at the victims is the way to resolve the problem. Some of the folks affected are mentally ruined or even worse have ended their own lives over this disgusting farce. But here's a few quid to say sorry. Absolutely horrible. This isn't specifically political, it's been happening for decades. Top brass on all sides are terrible at procurement, public money thrown down the bottomless pit. As per usual, they always pick the cheapest option and it doesn't matter about quality of the product. Happens in all sectors. Even in my workplace, once a contract runs out they'll always pick the lowest bidder and then chuck loads of cash at the problem for the next 5 years once it all falls to piece. The difference here is the all parties involved refused to be accountable at it has destroyed lives. These folks were trusted members of local communities ruined by technology which they did not choose and their employer lying about the problems. People within the Post Office should go to prison for blatantly lying to government and their employees but of course that won't happen.

Have special memories of that famous 5-1 win in Germany. My first England match I remember thinking this is why I love football. Never quite achieved what we could have under him but that match will always live with me. Thanks Sven, top man 👏👏👏👏
  8. Classy as ever from that paper....
  9. Too busy playing Rugby type football on the pitch.... In all seriousness, it's the middle of the winter, we've had heavy rain for the last couple of months. With the budget we have, I'm not surprised the pitch isn't 100%. Until we see a full on mud bath in the 6 yard box and centre circle then the pitch is fine with me.
  10. I remember the video of him joining the club and he looked miserable as anything, he got a fair amount of stick for it. I felt really bad for him. He spent 8-9 months getting back fit for Sunderland, he was one of their best players when they got promoted in League One. He was probably expecting to go straight back into their first team squad. Instead their manager at the last minute tells him sorry, Derby want you on loan and you won't play, pack your bags and off you go. It seemed very rushed. Believe he got told in the morning then drove down the same day to sign on deadline day. Very unfortunate that he got an injury again so soon after joining us. Good luck.
  11. In an era of billionaire football clubs, any trophy is a success in my book. Let's face it, we've got a slim chance of winning the big one again. Fa Cup or League Cup possibly although Man City love winning those domestic cups. Any trips to Wembley I'll treasure, that's why I love football. To win a competition will live in the memory forever. Promotions and Wembley, that's what we remember.
  12. Can understand going to 5 at the back away from home. Leaked in a few goals, no Nyambe. Hopefully this isn't another time where Warne goes back to his beloved system and it's horrible. I think we will breeze through so regardless of players of system, the Rams will get a result.
  13. I've got Netflix, Prime and Disney, cancelled my Sky subscription and just use my smart TV. That's plenty in my opinion. Amazon have seen a business opportunity because they know full well how many people now have a Prime account purely for shopping and who use both TV and shopping. They don't see that many people cancelling subscriptions because they offer way more than just TV. Netflix don't have the same capability to do it. It'll keep shareholders happy.
  14. Witnessed one of the best sporting moments for awhile. It's a joy to watch someone so naturally gifted at a sport. When it looks effortless and they could just play like that all night. Ronnie O'Sullivan with a snooker cue comes to mind. Staggered. He made Rob Cross look like a chump and Cross averaged over 100 himself. He'll win this whole tournament.
  15. 8 unbeaten. Inevitably really. Got to have a stinker every now and then. A shame our goalkeeper and the referee are trying their best to ruin the game. Never mind.
  16. Those centre halves are superb. I reckon they could do the business next season in the Championship. Great chemistry, chipping in with goals, clean sheets. Fantastic. I thought there was no chance of pushing for automatic promotion and now we've got a great chance to aim for 90+ points on this form. Brilliant turn around by the players and manager. Merry Christmas!
