Not happy. Where's the buzz, the excitement, the edge of the seat 'yeah we're winning but we look like losing' feeling gone? This new fangled never in doubt malarkey is so not the Derby way 🥵

Haha!
I wanted Kelly to win but can't deny watching somebody come in to play a role and them tearing up the script is quite satisfying.
I completely agree about Kelly too. Might have to knuckle down and earn those world titles rather than expect them to land in his lap. Some fighters out there aren't going to be easily frustrated about chasing shadows. They're experienced enough to battle through and wait for an opportunity.
This is what makes me laugh about Povetkin. He's always seen as some hard nut that's not serious about winning world titles and has had his day in the sun. How many times does he have to prove he's there to win and has as much heart as any young lion.
If Whyte doesn't fight the best fight of his career he will get done again imo

I think this was another of those fights that was seen as a foregone conclusion but as you pointed out, the old warrior hadn't read the script. Kelly is young and perhaps there's still a big career ahead for him, but he needs to understand that trying to box like Prince Naseem only makes sense you you have BOTH his speed and his power. I'm far from convinced Kelly has either. He needs to focus on the basics for me and try to be the best version of himself he can be, not a facsimile of someone else.
As for Avanesyan, he's earned himself another decent pot somewhere in the future and I have to say his after-fight presser was absolutely joyous. Try watching this without smiling 😆

Free Beer .. yes .. really
went to Majestic on Ashbourne Rd to buy some wine
Lo and behold .. at the cash desk there they are a dozen or so bottles “out of date” on 20th feb .. described as free and so they were. The joys of food labelling and responsible retailers
4 bottles - ( I’m not greedy ) for the next lap top game .. cost ? sweet fanny adams .. happy days

I’ve just spent a few hours stranded in my car, what I witnessed filled me with faith and pride. There was a group of local students, latterly joined by others, pushing cars up the hill in the snow. It was basically a blizzard and freezing and these selfless people, with no expectation of reward, spent easily 3 hours pushing cars up the road. 👏🏼 i salute you all.

86 Hair Islands reacted to Ghost of Clough in 3x U15s
I imagine it's actually a concern over a drop off in performances (results) rather than the players themselves thinking they had made it.
In my opinion, the problems stem from a chopping and changing of players being available on a game by game basis. Not just in terms of players being in the first team squad, but also in training. Injuries to U23 players also hasn't helped, resulting in a number of U18s stepping up to the U23s before they're ready, and a large number of U16s playing for the U18s.
Take the goalkeeping position as an example. Foster, Idem, Ravas, Sykes-Kenworthy, Yates and Moulden have all been used this season, with Halwax featuring on the bench a few times. There's no consistency. Do we need Idem and Foster to be part of the first team 'extended squad' every match day? Keep one as the emergency keeper, and let the other play football for the U23s. The rest of the U23 squad will be happier as they'll build a solid partnership, we'll have a better keeper between the sticks, and results/performances will also improve.
39 different players have played in U23 games this season (not including the FA Cup game)! We only went into this season with 19 U23 outfielders and 5 keepers.
Get the consistency of players in the team and the performances will follow.

Who is pretending ?
100k excessive deaths is quite a number not to care about. Having relatives or friends being at risk from one of the most deadly viruses to hit the world, also something I have to say I care about.
As posts go, this is one of the strangest I must say 🤷♂️

Wasn't meant to happen was it? It was meant to be a name on his record of a guy that's big enough to boost your rep but old enough to get dragged around the ring by a young bull
These old ones aren't always ready to bow out when the going gets tough
Ask Povetkin.

Given the numbers and groups vaccinated, myself at 60 years old and not vaccinated am probably at the top end of the risk of dying from covid yet here I am still banging on about stopping lockdowns because of the damage they do to people v the risk from covid and still getting the same old rubbish from the pretend social justice warriors 😂😂😂😂😂😂

And just to make things clear before the old tactic kicks again , I have no problem with people being lucky enough to work from home ( I’m lucky my finances business hasn’t been destroyed )
where I have a problem is those that are in lucky / privileged positions through this throwing out garbage and insults without the ounce of self awareness needed to understand how self centred that is

I think you're almost attempting to distance yourself from what he thinks, but not quite.
I think your points get lost sometimes as they become lumped in with this sort of nonsense.
Whilst the lockdown debate is a valid one, accusing the powers-that-be of some sort of sinister hidden agenda is borderline hysterical.

"I live in this country, lockdown and restrictions as we know it / them in this country are not an attack on the virus ,they’re an attack on people and people’s lives
Protecting mine and my families lives and health from this virus has been way down the government s priorities , high risk no life"
Restrictions are an attack on people? Protecting the lives of families are way down on the government's priorities?
Whilst I abhor Boris Johnson and his crew, I can picture the hopeless exasperation on his face if this ever put to him.
You've been asked loads of times what your real reasons are for so many governments implementing lockdowns and have never produced anything.
I don't really care that your opinions hold zero water, but you post an awful lot on this thread and it's coming from a place that is extreme. You probably think the same about @Albert and his "boring" analysis and data I guess.

I’m not ignoring it, but compared to us it’s faired so much better. So again how do you know if we hadn’t t locked it would of been much worse?
