The signings of Bielik and Jozwiak are exactly the right sort we should be looking at in the future. They are exactly the right profile, young, good potential, right attitude to improve, high resale value, internationals. This is what we should have been doing 6 years ago.

I'd largely agree, although I think some of it is down to the fact that he really clicked in 13/14 and that's probably slightly elevated our view of him a bit.
My point is, while we can think of ACLs ruining careers, it doesn't have to be the case. Even if he only ever recovers to 90%, a 90% Beilik is still a force of nature.
We have a million things to be pessimistic about without throwing this one into the pile.

Okay but the point was that three ACLs haven't significantly impacted his form/ability, to the point where many have forgotten it ever happened.
Unless the argument is that ACL injuries are more ACL-ey if you're more talented?

Has anyone else had any adverse reactions to this hot weather.

    Short answer - Yes.
Long answer - There are loads of examples of englishmen cheating in sports and everywhere else, "Perfidious Albion" was not a moniker earned though chivalry.
However, Lewis Hamilton, whilst having the ruthless streak that all the greats have, is actually usually hard but fair. His aggression got tempered with maturity and he's made the odd "i'll just Schumacher you off the road" bit of car placment down the years but dangerous, dirty cheating or unfiar is not the driver Lewis Hamilton is.

    So, my take:
We've got the proper Lewis Hamilton back.
The win it or bin it Hamilton, the raw aggressive, brilliant Hamilton. This Hamilton does make mistakes, but will also try things no one else would dream of, and quite often make them work.
Throwing it up the inside of Copse corner? Not something an average driver would do. Was it too dangerous? I don't think it was that crazy a move to try but he did have a responsibility to keep his line tight if he was going to, he had a good run at him and was carrying more spped at the corner entry - in my view Max just 100% did not believe Hamilton would seriously try to pull it, but left a car width anyway, Hamilton just looked to be understeering a tad and the slightest clip sent it.
I didn't disagree with the 10 seconds, he was trying something outside the box and didn't pull it off in a very high speed corner, the point is, you have to punish actions rather than consiquences. It's not a worse move because Max is in the wall or a less bad move if Max avoids the collision at the expense of his possition.
but I think Horner was over reacting with his *in so many words* demanding Hamilton get black flagged. It's not as if Horner's judgment would've been the height of impartial justice having seen his team's weekend going very badly. In my view, worthy of some "that's a bit beyond the pail" penalty is appropreate but it didn't need to be more.
After that all happened, well, it was a fine effort from Leclerk, and a lot of it's impossible to follow closely at this track, so whilst the standard of driving is very good, the actual passing is very limited (hopefully the new regs will change this a bit).

At worst Hamilton was 60/40 to blame. Max bumping wheels with him in earlier corners. At least 3 times this season Max has nearly caused accidents with Lewis but Lewis backed out. Racing incident with Lewis slightly more at fault. Thought penalty was slightly harsh but all in all the stewards got it about right. Unfortunately it’s resulted in a bad accident for Max but thankfully he’s ok, but it’s racing and there is danger.
I think the reaction from Red Bull and Max has been completely disgraceful (Horner has gone down in my estimations massively and Max behaving like the petulant child as usual) additionally the racial abuse Hamilton has received on social media despicable.
The 99th win of his career and definitely one of his best.

When under an embargo we are going to be struggling to get much better, thats where we are as a club. As someone mentioned its talented but flawed (Morrison), average Champ players (Aluko/Baldock) or very experienced players at the end of their careers (Jagielka/Stearman), not sure what fans are actually expecting.
Someones personal or mental situation can easily have changed in 2 years or even less so who knows what may have happened.
Im not saying this will work out but why write him off before you see him play in a DCFC shirt? We have spent alot of money on in form players who have turned out as bad signings, we have got freebies who fans wrote off but been decent. Old/young, in form/cast off, british/foreign, free/big money - there is no guarantee on any of it

Sure, and I think that is what differing opinions are. i understand your view in light of where we are but the story is deeper, and way more subtle.
I don’t shy away from the fact that Mel made errors, including the academy dream, but for many of us that was a realistic idea / method to make the club sustainable in a financial environment that made “normal” business impossible. It might seem a crazy idea, but with the state of championship finances what other business model was available ? … answer = none … now I would be the first to admit we paid too much for players, we paid daft salaries, we sold players too cheaply bought more expensively,  we (Mel) supported managers way beyond what pragmatism would suggest but in the end that was about poor choices not lack of support or commitment. Hind sight is wonderful isn’t it .. come on .. when we went in for Johnson and others everyone was saying ….. Bold, supportive, ha ha we’ve got deep pockets uncle Mel .. yes some of us winced at the prices but it wasnt our money and it looked great at the time.

Yes I agree we need a new leader but .. hello … 12 million PA losses in normal circumstances  and a pandemic inflating that x 2 along with FFP/ P+S
     any takers ?

    That’s fair enough, true !

Consider .. you had a dream, you had some money to spend, you tried your very best to achieve it. It didn’t work. It has to be either very hard or very wrong to criticise someone who eventually is forced by circumstances (rather than deeds ) to retreat. Everyone is human and everyone has finite resources. The Americans snatched Mels hands off .. they couldn’t wait to bail out, no matter how hard they tried to make a sustainable business .. one that we all said “lacked ambition” .. Truth is fans want a sugar daddy to finance their dreams … they aren’t easy to find and I can’t countenance folk having a go at Mel for doing his level best with the cards he had. Uncle Mel bailed us out of that Hughes/Bryson double injury … For me that’s where the the plan went astray .. but you can’t fault Mel for giving support when it was needed.

Not the case. HMRC are treated the same as any other unsecured creditor.
It's a term of membership of the EFL that in insolvency/administration events, football creditors are paid in full, before any other creditors receive their 25p in the pound.
