1of4 got a reaction from Mostyn6 in Nonsense you grew up believing
Not any nonsense I grew up believing.
While eating Mulligatawny soup, I convinced a work mate that a mulligatawny was a bird similar to a Grouse that originated from the foot hills of the Himalayas. And tasted of curry due to it's diet mainly consisting of curry leaves which grew in abundance on the hillsides.

I won't care who scores a goal that results in us getting promoted. I'd just like it to be in front of few lucky Rams fans stood behind the goal at Cambridge. Meaning on the final day of the season, I can be a in a packed Pride Park, celebrating promotion before a ball is kicked.

1of4 got a reaction from David Graham Brown in Post office scandal
The minster in charge of overseeing the Post Office, is now calling for those in charge of bringing in and then covering up the egregious prosecutions of post masters, to face jail time.
And so they should.
But anyone want to take any bets on how far up the management ladder this will reach. It certainly won't reach up to the top rung of management. Some poor sods may be thrown to the wolves, but I doubt it will go beyond the first rung, if it even reach that high.

1of4 got a reaction from SKRam in Match Thread: Wycombe (a)
I don't think it will be just the Wycombe game that will be an ugly ugly game.
Wycombe along with the other remaining 3 teams, who by the time we meet them, will probably have nothing to play for. Other than the kudos of beating us.
They'll all know we'll need wins, to keep ahead of the chasing pack. I believe all 4 teams will be dogmatic in their approach to the game, try to stifle us by any means possible, be they fair of foul. Then hopefully pinch a goal when we overstretch ourselves as we push forward looking for a goal.
Unless we manage to score a couple of early goals, I doubt any of the last 4 games will be easy to watch.

1of4 got a reaction from Archied in Match Thread: vs Portsmouth (a)
Walking away from the game last night I couldn't make my mind up to how I should be feeling about the result.
Before the game I'd have been happy with a point. After watching us put in a good team performance and going in front twice, I didn't know wether I should be happy with the point or disappointed that we couldn't hold on for the three.
24 Hours later and I still can't decide if I should be happy or disappointed with the one point.
Hopefully these feelings will be alleviated in 8 days time, after another good team performance and hopefully with the reward of three points.

1of4 got a reaction from Wolfie in Baked Beans
I was given my first taste of beans when I was a young child. Took an instant dislike to their flavour, texture and smell and haven't touched another one since.
Always believed I was an oddity for not liking beans, I've only met one other person who didn't like them. But after reading this thread, surprised there are more people who also don't eat beans, than I thought.

1of4 got a reaction from DavesaRam in Match Thread: vs Bolton Wanderers (H)
Just read some of the crap being posted that Bolton were the better team and deserved at the least a draw, what utter rubbish.
Over the years have we've heard managers and football pundits say that good teams know how to win ugly when things aren't going right for them.
How many games have we had sixty plus percent of the game only to come away losing. Saturday we achieved what Bolton, with all their perceived better football couldn't do, we scored a goal that won the game.
If that was winning ugly, then I'll that from the remaining seven games, if it means we accumulate the points required to see us promoted.

I get we are struggling with players available, I just don't understand how we can keep watching Hourihane and then put him in the team the game after
