The BBC scrap Question of Sport due to falling viewing figures. Maybe they should have sacked the person responsible for making Paddy McGuinness the question master and changing the format, trying to turn it into, A League of Their Own, lite. It completely ruined a great programme. I stopped watching during the third outing of the new format. Watching McGuinness was unbearable.
  4. No doubt the ticket office staff will be bracing themselves in readiness for the stampede for tickets
  5. What cheat code? How many passes to our front men does the cheat code make in a game? Against Fleetwood, Hourihane made more passes backwards to Bradley and Cashin. Leaving them with the responsibility of playing the ball forward.

  7. Sheffield United sack their manager and replace him with Wilder. So the manager is sacked, because the owners don't think he is capable of keeping the club in the premiership. Then replace him with someone they had already previously sacked because they didn't think he was capable of keeping the club in the premiership.
  8. What car am I currently driving? The same one I was driving when this thread started. Unless it's wheels fall off, I hope I'll still be driving it when I hit seventy years of age. When I may give up my licence and rely on public transport.
  9. There you were talking sense, then you ruin it with your last sentence.

  13. I like watching attractive football but I if come away from the game, having seen a win and the accumulation of another three points, I don't care about the style of play the team are producing. At times we are failing to do either. Irrelative of what style of football is played, it's the midfield that as the responsibility on the pitch to make this style a winning style. Unfortunately our midfield are to often not coming up to the mark required.
  14. In the first Crewe game, I gave him 5.5 and I only scored him that high due to his goal. Up until the final 15 minutes, his performance wasn't much different from his performance in the replay.
  15. After the first 10 minutes of the second half, it was obvious that the players on the pitch weren't doing enough to get themselves back into the game. Warne should have not only brought on Weston, he should have also given Robinson, Brown and Fapetu, 30 minutes to see how they performed.
  16. I believe a successful team needs a strong captain. One if not leading by example, has the personality to cajole, bully, encourage his team mates to give of their best, when things are no going right in the game. Hourihane's team mates voted for him to be captain but he doesn't seem to be able to do either. Tonight we desperately need that strong captain but one never appeared. Who from our squad has the right qualities to be the leader and captain, I'm not sure. That problem needs to be resolved by the manager, not by a player's vote.
  17. What is scandalous is a midfield that completely failed. They allowed the opposition midfielders to run past them, our deepest sat midfielder didn't do enough to close down these runs, they didn't move the ball quickly, failed to win enough 50 50 challenges and the biggest failure their ability to pass the ball to a team mate. The midfield is the engine that drives the team. Unfortunately our's is misfiring and definitely needs at least one of the pistons replacing.

  22. Tickets obtained for my sixth away game of this season. Already been to more away games than I managed the whole of last season. I'm not an away member so wondering why the availability of tickets to non-members is higher this season than last?
  23. The Wolves U21s were a team of young players still learning their trade, so not getting over excited from beating them. But still came away from the game happy after seeing so many plus points for us. Elder getting a full 90 minutes under his belt. Collins showing he's capable of scoring the goals we need, he just requires our midfield to supply him the chances. Solid performances from Wilson and Robinson, hopefully they'll both be given more minutes in the team. And finally the most pleasing thing from tonight, seeing how well all our youngsters played. After having our academy ripped apart during administration. The young players we now have at our academy looked much better tonight than those playing for Wolverhampton. Shame all those so excited by the EFL Trophy, that they travelled to Notts County for the previous Trophy game couldn't manage to find their way to Pride Park for tonight's Trophy game. They missed seeing all these plus points, along with some well taken goals.
