Anyone else suddenly VERY nervous?! We're so so close but having followed the Rams for many years and seen so many examples of us snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, I for one am cacking my pants!

Yep. My nerves won't be calmed, until the final whistle is blown at the Carlisle game and we're still in second place.

Is there any way that it could work if the last bit of the South stand was mixed seating - open to both Derby and away supporters?

What percentage of this mixed seating would to be occupied by police and stewards.

But it would certainly make for an interesting atmosphere.

Every time i watch the highlights i always think its a shame the south stand isnt widened to the whole of the stand and up until the south east corner, then have the away fans along the side of the east stand!

Theres high demand for tickets in it as it always sells out, its great for the atmosphere! With all the flags the last few games it would look even better having the entire stand as home supporters!

I get that season ticket holders in the east stand and there higher ticket prices over there but still, reckon it would increase the atmosphere!

    Up the rams 🐏🐏

Leave the East Stand alone, thank you.

Why would moving the away fans make for a better atmosphere?

The Rams fans in the East Stand on the other side of the away fans do our bit in creating the atmosphere.

And after sitting in the same seat since the Queen opened PPS. I don't want to be forced to move to the South Stand or god forbid the West Stand. It's bad enough having to do it for certain cup games.

  4. A great team performance which resulted with a win and three important points, compounded by the results elsewhere.

A number of posters have stated Orient were poor. But how much was down to our own performance?

If we had come out with the wrong mindset, yesterday's result could have easily gone the same way as the Northampton or Wycombe game.

Just hope, for the sake of my sanity, it will be yesterday's team that turns up for the games against Cambridge and Carlisle and not the one that came out of the tunnels at Northampton and Wycombe.

  5. We started the game with purpose but slowly allowed Wycombe to dictate the pace of the game.

I was hoping the half-time break would give us the chance to regroup and come out firing on all cylinders in the second half. Unfortunately we didn't, our performance got more and more abject and as the game went on I got increasingly nervous that we would give away a goal.

By the end of the game I was probably more relieved we hadn't lost than I was disappointed we didn't win. But the overall feeling I had was anger at the lack of intensity and passion we showed throughout the second half.

I was going to go over the the Wycombe player's rating thread but like some of the players last night, I can't be arsed to go and but in the effort to do it.

  6. The minster in charge of overseeing the Post Office, is now calling for those in charge of bringing in and then covering up the egregious prosecutions of post masters, to face jail time.

    And so they should.

But anyone want to take any bets on how far up the management ladder this will reach. It certainly won't reach up to the top rung of management. Some poor sods may be thrown to the wolves, but I doubt it will go beyond the first rung, if it even reach that high.

It will be an ugly ugly game with Wycombe adopting the exact same tactics as did Northampton. We will have to bludgeon our way through I fear.

I don't think it will be just the Wycombe game that will be an ugly ugly game.

Wycombe along with the other remaining 3 teams, who by the time we meet them, will probably have nothing to play for. Other than the kudos of beating us.

They'll all know we'll need wins, to keep ahead of the chasing pack. I believe all 4 teams will be dogmatic in their approach to the game,  try to  stifle us by any means possible, be they fair of foul. Then hopefully pinch a goal when we overstretch ourselves as we push forward looking for a goal.

Unless we manage to score a couple of early goals, I doubt any of the last 4 games will be easy to watch.

  8. Walking away from the game last night I couldn't make my mind up to how I should be feeling about the result.

Before the game I'd have been happy with a point. After watching us put in a good team performance and going in front twice, I didn't know wether I should be happy with the point or disappointed that we couldn't hold on for the three.

24 Hours later and I still can't decide if I should be happy or disappointed with the one point.

Hopefully these feelings will be alleviated in 8 days time, after another good team performance and hopefully with the reward of three points.

  9. I'm sure most of the world want to see a peaceful end to this conflict.

While I've seen Israelis in their own country protesting and demanding that their government negotiate a ceasefire, which could lead to the removal of Prime Minister Netanyahu.   I've not seen Palestinians protesting and demanding Hamas negotiate a ceasefire.

Many of the Palestinian marches and flag waving that have taken place in the UK not only seem to be protesting against the actions of Israel, but due to the chanting of "from the river to the sea", the total destruction of Israel.

Apparently Hamas have refused to take part in any ceasefire negotiations until all their demands are met. Aren't these meeting supposedly for the two side to come to a compromise, not to rubber stamp the demands of one of the antagonists?

Are the  leaders of Hamas more concerned about the survival of their own organisation and their call for the total destruction of Israel than the safety and well-being of the Palestinian people?

There are claims that what Israel are doing in Gaza is genocide, but isn't what Hamas and their supporters are advocating for is, the total destruction of the state of Israel and it's people, an actual act of genocide?

  10. I was given my first taste of beans when I was a young child. Took an instant dislike to their flavour, texture and smell and haven't touched another one since.

Always believed I was an oddity for not liking beans, I've only met one other person who didn't like them. But after reading this thread, surprised there are more people who also don't eat beans, than I thought.

  11. Just read some of the crap being posted that Bolton were the better team and deserved at the least a draw, what utter rubbish.

Over the years have we've heard managers and football pundits say that good teams know how to win ugly when things aren't going right for them.

How many games have we had sixty plus percent of the game only to come away losing. Saturday we achieved what Bolton, with all their perceived better football couldn't do, we scored a goal that won the game.

If that was winning ugly, then I'll that from the remaining seven games, if it means we accumulate the points required to see us promoted.

Or, given that every silver lining has a cloud.

Away at Northampton who are mid-table with nothing to worry about. Probably a relaxed and calm display.

I hope they do have that mind set. Got to be prepared to fight and scrap for everything, as they did today. Can't expect an easy ride from anyone.

Make your mind up. One post you want the team to be calm and relaxed when we play Northampton. Then in your next post you say they need to fight and scrap for everything.

So which style are you advocating we adopt for the next game?

What’s this I see about a possible new stadium in Toton? Is there nowhere in Nottingham they can move to?

Don't the gumps rent their present hovel from Nottingham city council? Is the council planning to build the gumps a new council house to replace the slum. Wouldn't it need to be in Nottingham, or can they still get assisted rent on a building outside the city limits.

But with Notts city council currently having more money issues than the gumps. I can't see them planning a new building any time soon.

Hope the players don't have this mind set going into the game. Or today's hard work could be for nothing. We need to be focused and fully committed for the next seven games. Treet each game as a play-off final, to make sure we won't need to play an actual play-off final.

I thought they were the better footballing team by some distance and probably edged the game overall.

Our CBs and GK were better than their's though and that, plus the fans, pulled us through.

Forsyth was immense and Cashin nit far behind.

Not sure we can keep going into games with Hourihane in a 2 though.

I've not been happy with Hourihane's contribution in many of this season's games. He may turn up for brief spells but goes missing to often in games like today, where we needed all hands to the pumps.

The remaining games will be all about not dropping points. So we'll need players who'll fight tooth and nail for every point. And I don't think Hourihane is able to do it.

I won't care how ugly we win, I just want us to promoted.
