Ghost of Clough got a reaction from Steve How Hard? in Watford v Derby, Friday 19th February
Makes space for himself, ensuring his teammates have an option to pass to. Reliable on the ball, especially in tight situations, and more often than most finds a player.
Reads play very well, positioning himself for an easy interception. Puts a high number of tackles in (marginally behind Shinnie).

Agree with your first point.
With the second one, I think a lot of the drama was caused by misleading headlines making out that BAME are somehow more genetically susceptible to the virus than white people. The real issue is why a disproportionate number of BAME live in the kind of crowded conditions that make COVID more deadly. Obviously that comes down to a whole host of reasons, and there isn't one perfect solution.
I seem to recall similar headlines with the Grenfell Disaster. Again, race/ethnicity wasn't the primary issue there; it was social class. Yes, we need to figure out how to level out the ethnic imbalances within social classes, but I'm not a fan of headlines that fan the flames on all sides.

I thought at the time when Byrne almost scored from the corner that we should have had a pen immediately after for Zinckernagel's blatant handball, and that's confirmed on replays now Sky showed a bit more of the incident.
And didn't we hit the woodwork right at the end? No mention of that.
I don't mind Sibley's foul at the end. He's getting a lot of unnecessary grief on here. If someone had done that to Sarr earlier, the Watford forward might have been a lot less effective. And, when the opposition is keeping the ball in the corner you sometimes have to break up the play to end the situation and get the game moving again. I wish we'd made my suggested sub of Waghorn for Sibbo before the hour mark.

Can’t see where we go from here really we have really lost our way again since Bielik injury a whole 90 mins again with 0 shots on target we have an owner that’s given up and no money to spend Bielik out for most of next season
Not a lot of optimism I’m afraid I hate feeling like this but we are in a real downward spiral ... Buchanan/Sibley probably sold close season
Max Bird (probably gonna get slated) is nothing more than an ok League 1 standard CDM player I’m still struggling to see where all these glowing reports keep coming from
Playing Shinnie and Bird together is awfully negative both defensive minded players
Knight again not doing enough add that to the ineffectual wingers Waghorn and Jozwiak
Please I could go on need something positive
Slightly better performance than the first half ?
Can’t see Rooney being as unhappy with the performance but I’ll finish as I started ZERO shots on target

Unlucky with how their first went in and possibly a foul in the buildup?
Poor defending for their 2nd.
Robbed of a goal just before half time.
Great cross for our goal.
Unlucky not to score from a number of corners.
I don't think it was too bad to be honest.

Sarr's pain threshold is pretty low if he's in that much pain from Sibley stepping on his toes

Everytime Sibley picks the ball up he draws multiple players towards him

If Waghorn had done that he'd be absolutely crucified on here.

As the central CB with Wisdom and Clarke either side 👌

The constant Waghorn moaning is mighty tedious. He isn't playing well but so are several others.

What!?!
The lad's whole game is based around demanding the ball, which he's happy to do in space & with men around him (which marks him out from the rest of our midfield)
As to him 'playing it safe' - one of these urban myths like 'Lawrence doesn't work hard' or 'Keogh has a mistake in him'. Watch his cameo against Bristol City playing at number 10 before he had to move back to cover injured Bielik - central to our utter dominance of that opening 30 mins linking play between forward players & smashing the post himself. Watch his slide rule ball through Luton's defence to set up our goal there & the ball that dissected Huddersfield's defence for Knight to be flagged offside despite being 5 yards onside.
Really dispiriting seeing such a talent being dismissed especially when we've had Knight & Shinnie contributing the square root of zero quality on the ball in the past 2 games.

I think, if we go 4-3-3 then Baningime gets on the bench and a defender misses out. No point having Mengi, Edmundson, MacDonald and Forsyth all on the bench and then not have stronger cover for midfield. If there was an injury to one of Bird or Shinnie then we'd be forced to change shape.

1 point behind Brentford, 5 points behind Norwich. 2 games in hand on both

Reminded me a bit of Keane when he was on loan here.

I disagree with people saying Bird hides, when he came on against Wycombe he was constantly demanding the ball, it's just no one passed to him. Whether that's because they stuck a man on him or because our defenders didn't feel comfortable passing the ball to him in those positions, I'm not sure. But I think it's wrong to say he hides.

The U18s suffered a 3-1 defeat to Sunderland.
Trialists Eze and Clarke retained their places in the squad, and Chelsea loanee Mothersille made his debut.
Dixon also made his U18 debut, coming off the bench to assist Cybulski for the goal.

I framed it as a binary choice on purpose, so as you have to say which you think is the most acceptable to you personally
How about this?
I'm punching you in the face repeatedly.
Would you rather I stopped punching you the face now, but I might start punching you in the face again later - or
would you rather I carried on punching you in the face for another week and then never punched you in the face ever again?

As high as I rate our youngsters, I don't think our U23s will get to the final - we may even choose not to enter it again.

Lawrence has been missing for so long that people have had to find a new scapegoat.
