    More coaches?
We're at a ratio of 1:1 with the number of fit players as it is... 🤣

I don't think for one minute he's rode in and rescued us as he hasn't yet and there's still a chance we could go down. Saying he wasn't interested goes against everything, every player and coach says about him throughout his career, so forgive me if i take what a few disgruntled fans who probably doesn't like him anyway, no matter what he does with a pinch of salt.
He'll feel responsible if we do go down and I'm sure he'll say this, but you can't blame him for taking us down and then not congratulate him if he keeps us up.
EVERYONE has to take responsibility, that, I 100% agree with but it's the players/squad that inevitably have to take the lions share as they are the ones that put all the training and tactics into play on matchday.
I'm not a fanboy 🤣, I just think he deserves a fair crack of the whip. We have one or 2 good players and thats it.
    imo 😆

You do have to wonder what criteria lead to Rosenior being judged as an outstanding coach/manager. The team has been a disaster whilst he's been here. We don't see what's going on behind the scenes though. Maybe he's actually brilliant, or maybe he just says the right things to the right people. I can't imagine many Derby fans losing much sleep if he is 'poached' by England though.

Imo, as I said AT BEST we are bang average so a mid to lower part of the league is where we should be and we do find ourselves in that position.
I think Rooney & his staff are doing all they can do with this squad, Cocu took us to the bottom of the league so he started with basically a points deduction. If we survive I think he'll have done a great job with what he had to work with.
Look down the road, Hughton, who I think is a good manager and started pretty much the same time as Rooney, is only 6 points better off with a better squad and he joined them clear of the relegation places.
I really believe, given the backing promised, Rooney has the pull to get quality players in and will get us going in the right direction.

That's not fair. David Marshall has been relegated with Norwich, Cardiff, Hull, Wigan - in fact he's been relegated with EVERY English team he's ever played for... except us...
Must have an iron stomach by now that one.

If only they'd started Rooney's season from average rather than relegation...some of the players don't seem to have the requirements for a late season dogfight.

I can’t believe some Rams fans think he wouldn’t be good enough for us. His track record is excellent, 4 promotions, 45% plus win rate with all his clubs, plays the game the right way, attractive football and communicates well.....what is there not to like???

All of this hand wringing is starting to grate now. It's patently clear what we must do between now and the end of the season, Rooney never struck me as being a dullard so he must be acutely aware too.
If he can't motivate and organise his side to do this then we do deserve to go down, simple as.
If he does manage to keep us up then he shouldn't take any plaudits whatsoever for dragging a group of players who should be operating at a far higher level into a relegation battle.

it's worrying. Alonso has to say he is acting alone because otherwise the EFL thinks: hmmm are we approving the right person as controller? In reality, if Alonso gets bundles of well-worn rupees from some Indonesian guy, seems likely that guy is in fact a controller. And needs to be approved. Looks like the EFL are already on to this.

Has anyone in the know, ie Morris or Alonso, said Raja Oktohari is the backer? because I can't recall either saying anything about the others involved.
Looks to me like the papers are putting 2&2 together and coming up with 5 as usual.
    All guesswork.
The daily fail is constantly ridiculed on here but now they bring an article out about us and the deal we are supposed to take it as gospel!!

You're never actually positive about anything Jourdan....ever! ....Rooney has a difficult job ...do you really expect us to be playing magnificent fantastic football sweeping everyone away with entertaining  football ?? really?
i'll give you a few reasons why then I'm going to leave it as i find you quite negative and never see anything positive....
Put yourself into Rooney's shoes , I would say when he got the job his first and main task was to keep us up whether playing dull or attractive football that was the perogative.
I would say that looking at our forward options we are never going to win games by scoring 3 or 4 so keeping it tight at the back would've been a priority and build some confidence from there.
This was done quite well and i beleive if Beilik had not got injured we'd be safe by now but our squad has been thin on attacking options all season and long before Rooney was appointed
The 5 loans all seem reasonable enough players but if i was to criticise it would be that another striker as well as Gregory was needed but we were hardly in a position to pick and choose and i for one was shocked we signed anyone as at one stage it looked like we wasn't going to....all of this is out of Rooneys hands
With key injuries to Beilik Clarke and Lawrence and relying heavily on an ageing kazim we have struggled recently but we are far from down and the most recent performances have been encouraging
The priority is to stay up not play majestic football unfortunately  and if were trying to play a style this squad is not capable of you'd be complaining about that but the reality is this squad is quite unbalanced especially in attack and attacking ideas from midfield so priority is get over the line ...stay up.....then lets build a better squad, lets face it we will probably have only about 6 players left at the end of the season and a rebuild is necessary.
Then by all means next season complain if the football is dour or not entertaining but as soon as Rooney took over the priority was to  get us to stay up anything else would've been a bonus.
Also lets get one thing right Our beloved Club has been in turmoil and something of a mess for a while and the whole takeover thing and wages not being paid helps no one ....give Rooney time...he is not my choice either to be manager but to expect silky fantastic football with what he's been dealt with is expecting a lot....most of these players will not be Derby players next season lets judge him properly then.......

    Utter rot.
Eye for a player? We were on an embargo and we had to scramble around at the last minute for cheap loans.
It doesn't matter who is on charge, the side needs more than a few tweaks. Rooney hasn't had an opportunity to make permanent signings and had to offload players to pay wages.
Now I've no idea if he will make a good manager. I've seen good and bad indicators so far.
He has inherited a team in an awful situation and increased the points per game rationby about 50% whilst all this is going on.
If we stay up, he will have done enough at least to have a fully planned transfer window with a clear budget and to start the next season.

Behave. His record since he took over is actually no worse than Hughton’s at forest. It’s not great, but it’s not Rooney that out us in this position. The man who did has already got sacked.
We effectively gave ourselves a points deduction at the start of this season, and Rooney has had to contend with that.

It's just possible that the investors don't want their names made public until it is all done and dusted....if the rich people want it to be confidential they have every right to their privacy - it realy doesn't matter how nosey Derby fans are or how entitled they feel about being privy to the info...
Pretty sure that Alonso would have to tell the EFL who is providing the money, but no reason at all for that to be public knowledge until it's been rubber stamped......

tbh i think he was talking about the actual deal to buy the club, ie, numbers etc. All he's been saying really is his dream to take us to the prem and then, hopefully european football.
That's my take on it anyway.
