On the topic of the Sweeney, I always preferred the closing credits version of the theme.

AndyinLiverpool got a reaction from LeedsCityRam in Match Thread: Wycombe (a)
It was a performance that says when the pressure's on, we don't have enough presence to do the simple things (apart frtom hoof it aimlessly - that's quite simple).

AndyinLiverpool reacted to Bris Vegas in Live football thread.
I think the worst part is that along with diving, it isn’t instinctive so it evidently must be trained.
But you can see why players do it. The reward far outweighs any potential punishment, which in most cases the harshest being a yellow card where 95% of the time they go unpunished.

This leaving your leg in the way to make it look like a trip is everything that is wrong with football.

AndyinLiverpool got a reaction from David Graham Brown in Post office scandal
Almost all the prosecutions were outside the remit of the Crown Prosecution Service. They were brought privately by the Post Office, as it weirdly has the right to do.

Will be interesting to see how this one plays out

Remember when Musk said last year that he "cannot go beyond the laws of the country to defend free speech" and he censored anti-Erdogan accounts in Turkey as a result?
https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2023/05/musk-defends-enabling-turkish-censorship-on-twitter-calling-it-his-choice/
The fact that he's willing to challenge the laws of a country when it comes to the "free speech" of far-right Bolsanaro supporters tells us all we need to know about the Twitter bin-fire

AndyinLiverpool got a reaction from Premier ram in A new daily game. Name the current or ex Ram from the clues
Mark Lillis
I remember the goal - bank holiday Monday, I think. A diving header / he fell over and it hit his head (delete at applicable).
At that point, I knew we were going up.

AndyinLiverpool reacted to Norman in Where do you think we'll finish this season?
What am I reading? I know we've all been through some right bottle jobs following Derby, but come on.
Barnsley ruled themselves out yesterday.
Peterborough have a horrifc run of games in 21 days and rely on a high energy game.
Bolton really struggled to beat a poor Bristol Rovers team and haven't taken any more points than us over the last 5 games - and we've had to navigate Portsmouth, Blackpool, and Bolton themselves in that time.
Wycombe are playing a final this evening....beat them and it leaves 2 home games and Cambridge away.
Honestly, I can see us winning the next 2, and Bolton drawing against Portsmouth, and it all being all being effectively over. Only 6 days to wait.
