With an English accent you can tell them anything and they will believe you. Where I worked a woman used to call the office just to hear me talk. I love them bits though, so much so I became one in 2010. I have two nice shiny passports now. I love pissing off TSA and customs both sides of the Atlantic. I was once asked at Manchester airport how long I would be in the states for. As long as I want, I said. No you won't, you can only stay (3 months I think it was) he said. Nope pretty sure I can stay longer, I replied. Now he was getting annoyed. As a British citizen you cannot stay as long as you want. Ok then, I got my US passport out, put it on the counter and told him I would travel on this one then. Cue red face and muttering about smart arse wasting his time. Childish I know, but anything for a laugh.

This is either going to be an exciting,  confident guy who is determined to take us places to match his own ego....or a complete disaster. 
Gotta admit it's more exciting than Appleby. Really don't know. 
But in hindsight his actions before Xmas make me feel better not worse. He made an offer he thought was reasonable- was largely derided - and walked away. Now it appears his understanding of the finances of the club were better than everyone else gave him credit for.

With the latest forum update there has been a change to the profanity filter.
Where naughty words would previously automatically change to something else, like Bamford for example, now the post will simply be blocked from posting to the forum until you have removed the profanity.
My recommendation would be to simply use s*** for example, which is censored enough to keep inline with our terms of use, which are designed to allow this forum to be viewed by all age groups and remain advertiser friendly.

There's a new bell on the block, that sorts that little niggle out...

Yes, bloody Parcel Force. One day I’ll get him, but he’s usually away back up the path by the time I get to the front door. 

He was waiting in a side road to join the traffic queue on my way to work one day so I crawled by him without letting him out with a big grin on my face. Justice. 

I actually don’t think Q has played a blinder, and there are criticisms I could make (particularly regarding some naive comments about how long it might take), but I do appreciate what a basket case of a liquidation they took on. Morris left them with a crock of poo, and it seems to me he has been a pain in the arse subsequently in regards to a) quickly resolving the Boro matter and b) being more accommodating regarding the stadium sale.
You may recall that a few months back that you were arguing strongly with me that Morris had, and would have, no influence over the proceedings; that MSD were in control of the stadium situation because of their fixed charges, blah de blah. You were as wrong then as you are now in your back and forth with @duncanjwitham, who very ably popped your overinflated view earlier today.
It seems to me Q had no choice but to accept CK’s proposal, as he was the only one at the end offering to buy the club without the stadium.
My wife thinks you are a complete arse. Of course that is not my opinion as that would be against forum rules.
