  1. Can someone explain to me why we are still bookies favorites to win League 1?

The performances so far certainly dont suggest it. Everybody suggesting we need time to gel but then so do other teams. Lots suggesting we are short on strikers and midfielders. Others saying we have no money to change things because we are still under the EFL sanctions.

So why are we favorites. I don't understand.

  2. I think you have to remember these are professional footballers. All they do all day long is play football. You should expect them to be able to score penalties more often than miss them. Le Tissier only missed 1 out of 50 odd.  I do not agree it is a lottery. It would be a lottery if they picked 5 people out of the crowd to take them.

Its very disappointing to lose on penalties.

Its very encouraging that we held them to a draw and hopefully we can use this as a springboard for the rest of the season. I'm more pleased with the performance over 90 mins than the poor penalties but we must improve on that because it'll could cost us later on.

oh give over, we've been playing with ten men for over half an hour

We had a goal start, gave away 2 penalties, had a man sent off.

In the last 6 games we've beaten Cambridge and Wycombe but lost at home to Plymouth and PortVale, lost to Lincoln and couldn't beat Mansfield.

If anybody thinks the players are the best squad in the league they are deluded. Remember this is Port Vale (absolutely no disrespect intended) and we are at home. We should be winning with ten men!!
