Since Div 3, mid-50s Jack Parry, Geoff Barrowclough, Bill Curry, Reg Mathews, Barry Hutchinson etc,
The 70s take some beating, Clough and Taylor beating Real Madrid, Benfica, outplaying Juventus, but not the bent ref.  I won't see the likes again in my lifetime. 😟

I think I’ve seen the best of Derby County, my dad bought me my first season ticket for the 71/72 season I was 6 years old. I continued as a season ticket holder until 1981 when I left school and started playing football on Saturday’s.By 1981 we weren’t very good we got relegated in 1980 (we’ll be back in 81).i went to games when I could and got my season ticket again in the late 90’s when I packed up playing on Saturday’s. As someone else as said the best team I saw was the 75/76 team that had just signed Charlie George to add to the league champions. Unfortunately the way football is structured now I don’t think I’ll see the like again

Born in '54. First game in '61. As with @Geriatram, there is a very good chance I won't see the heights of the 70s again. I do hope I will and, failing that, I'd love my 2 lads (now 28 and 30) to see us be the best again.
Both were born some 15 miles from the Ajax Stadium. Both are Derby through and through so I got that right. Internationals? They do support Holland, however, when the opposition is England they support England.
Whatever the level there will always be things to savour.
Last season we were in with a shout right up to the last kick of the season and only missed out on the playoffs thanks to a dubious penalty. Didzy was a joy to watch.
Season before? We nearly lost the club we all love. The togetherness that generated will long be remembered.

Yes, 75-76 before Charlie George's shoulder injury. Even better than the two championship winning teams IMHO though I saw more matches that season so it may have skewed my view.
But Charlie George and Kevin Hector....wow.
Throw in McFarland, Todd, Gemmill, Rioch, Lee, Nish, Newton.... You won't beat that.

It is okay it would look better with out flaming red on it. I think this one wont sell that much with negative comments with red on it. It would looked better with blue on it instead.

Hi folks, just wanted to post today as it’s a very special day for my family. My dad Paul Simpson retires today from teaching after a 43 year career. He taught at Bemrose School, South East Derbyshire college, Alderwasly Hall and then the Roundhouse. I’m unsure but I think being a local teacher I thought some of you might have heard of him or even had relatives taught by him. 
 
He also happens to be a very vocal person in the North Stand having started following the rams since 1980 when he moved from Bradford. 
 
I organised a series of surprises for him including a signed card from the players , a video message from Paul Warne and the article below. 
 
I wouldn’t normally post this but he’s a huge ram and the backlash teachers get for striking he has remained in the profession for 43 years even after suffering a near catastrophic Subarachnoid haemorrhage.

We have something broadly in common. He has resigned from 69 companies (possibly a life times work) and I am resigned to never having a 69 again in my remaining life time.

If we are talking relatively, when we signed this man, we were in the second division but made him the highest paid player in the football league.

You get a lot of stick on here about this pink thing, it's ok not to like the colour, I hate the burgundy kits. You don't need to make up things like Rooney hating it to back yourself up though. 
I'm sure if Wayne was to see your post he would distance himself from it completely.
Like it or not, the club have announced "Community Pink" as a colour on the clubs palette, it's there and it's there for a good reason.
If that means we see another pink kit to support Breast Cancer that sees profits go to charities, that is a good thing. Think about all the female fans that may be affected, even the male fans whose daughters, wives, mothers that will be supported by money raised through the sale of those kits.
