On their recent club form I have both Jack and Fraser Forster ahead of Joe Hart.
It's an opportunity for Forster and he also comes across well in interview as a likeable individual so good luck to them both.
All looks a darn sight better than juggling Rob Green with David James.

I was gutted for jack last night ! You could tell he thought it was a bad one from his reaction ! Really thought he had a chance of ousting joe hart as number 1 !

I can't like your post because that's such terrible news. I feel the same as he played for us only last season. Roy should go for experience and recall Champions League winner Carson to take his place!
Amazing he didn't simply hurl the ball straight out having done that. Clearly made of stern stuff. Get well soon, Jack!

Fractured ankle last night against Germany and out for 3 months minimum.
    As per SSN.
terrible shame for him. As we had him on loan feels almost like one of ours and have been following his rise now he's replaced begovic at Stoke.
    Come back strong Jack.

Some really exciting stuff. Interesting that we are playing 4-3-3 and some similar issues to the rams.
    - we don't have good enough distribution from centre backs
    - we have a surplus of some types of players eg alli and barklay
    - a few weaker links eg Henderson I've never been that convinced by

But having said that it's been a great performance and alli just missed a sitter.
God forbid that woy drops some of these for the tried and failed that we seem to wheel out for tournaments.

If this thread garners so much comment while probably utter rubbish then I'm so looking forward to the closed season. Hope Daveo has a lot of time on his hands, the sites going to crash and burn with the constant rumours and meltdowns.
I hate Tim Sherwood, I can't even watch his self importance on tv so I'd struggle to watch it in all its glory in our dug out

For the love of god, no. A joke of a manager. The only person who thinks he's any good is Tim Sherwood. He probably talks about himself (and talks himself up) in the third person. Would be a disaster.
After his WAGs joke, Martin O'Neil's gone up in my estimation! Ridiculous "outrage" to be expected. He's my number one likely choice given his amazing talking up of Derby over the years. The love Brian Clough had for us clearly had a big impact on him.
Laudrup would be my left-field candidate, winning a major trophy for Swansea playing beautiful football (Mel's Derby way).
And Rodgers would be immense too. I can't think who else other than O'Neil or Rodgers we'd be waiting for. Had we wanted Pearson we could simply have gone out and appointed him and that would have been fine. Pearson put himself forward and appears to have been ignored.
Appointing Sherwood would be the equivalent of paying a vast transfer fee to bring in someone like Nick Blackman. As has been said elsewhere, let's hope out famed analytics department don't have anything to do with the new manager. If Mel does appoint Sherwood he won't have my support, just my incredulity.

Cripes Carl - you've spooked me now.
I'd assumed that the mob responsible for player signings will be nowhere near the managerial appointment and that it was at most a selection panel of Mel and Sam.
Now I'm quaking as our analytical team unearth the managerial equivalent of nick blackman......
    Dearie me.....

As a lad I remember him lighting up what was otherwise a pretty tedious world cup in 1974.
What a team the Dutch were then. Not for the first time did the best  (ie most technically gifted and entertaining) team lose to excellent german organisation and will to win.

Great talent. We are lucky to have a few (Ince, Martin, Thorne....).
We need some rreal grafters in midfield tho......Martin needs runners, Ince needs hard workers and we need George to link  up the play from the back. We do ask a lot of our midfield 3 imo.
Perhaps Bryson fits that bill better than most and we have missed him more than I thought we would (not an intentional cue for valleyram to hold forth btw)

I wasn't trying to take the mick mate honest - I've followed and admired the efforts you make to overcome your difficulties. was just struck by that one particular play on words and the similarity of earnie (Earnshaw) to eranio.
Apologies if any offence caused - none intended. Keep rallying the troops and all

Average performance and therefore promising full debut in Championship in that position. I'm afraid he is too slow to become very good modern day full back. Well, IMO he is. I'd stuck him as DM, his attributes would fit much better there.
And he should be encouraged to have a boy with Christie. That lad could become one hell of a right back.

The only logical conclusion that can be drawn from this is that it's Kenny Burns who is the idiot! Well, obviously Fridgey as well but that's axiomatic.
