It’s a strange one regards cashin and pace , you so often see pace measured over the first few yards where as when I watch cash he looks like his pace is in the last couple of yards aided by his technique to make that last little gap up with a great surge and timed tackle ,
easy to mistake it for last ditch desperation lunge but he is so good at it consistently that it’s much more than that
I always thought I was slow but it all came down to acceleration, we did tests and I was third for top speed at the club and third last for acceleration lol, although top speed is pretty useless compared to that first five yards, as far as I remember most strikers were gone before I got going.

For what it’s worth I wouldn’t say I’m pro-Warne but I’m pro-stability as I do think give a manager time we’ll benefit in the long run. But I’m wavering as to whether Warne is that manager.
This bit sums me up too

If you don't accept the findings then thats not a problem with the results themselves but yourself.
This sentence made me think.
The stats are factual so it cannot a problem with the results.
But I feel there are more variables so I do not accept them until I have more data.
So I do not necessarily feel that is my problem because I do not accept them.
For example Tommy Docherty seems high to me and then I realise he started with a good team so it was some achievement to get that low a %
Other variables
The reason for the end of the previous tenure
The Division
The net transfer spend
The net transfer spend ranked in the division
Are we in administration/ under embargo
How much are we spending on loans
etc
etc
I mean Nigel Clough looks very poor on here but compared to some more recent managers he was definately operating with a significantly lower budget.

Said in his interview this has been rumbling on for a couple of weeks, Owen also said “it’s been a long afternoon” which backs up what our oracles said about this being done earlier in the week.
I thought he had a massive left ear for a second

I would say medics come on without stopping the game
Also substitutions happen in live play - watch those players withdrawn running off then, give the 4th official something useful to do too
Any player who goes down injured has to go off for a full health and safety check which should take a minimum of 2 minutes and a sub is not allowed until the two minutes is up either - bit like a shortened version of the HIA in rugby but without a replacement, should be extra careful of injuries around these valuable players, Health and safety fans would love it.
Yellow cards for diving/simulation - second one is red obviously and normal suspensions apply
One minute of stoppage time added for each act of time wasting including during the stoppage time
-
Not a penalty book him for simulation and move on
On the other hand has the tackle from behind law or making a perfectly good 1970's tackle without control been changed to be no booking?

I've taught mine that what they hear at the football they don't repeat. We have a little giggle about it and it's forgotten about. Agree, not in the family area but it happens
Exactly what my Dad said when I was four - I was even aloud to join in at the Football as long as Mum never found out - I felt quite grown up I remember

Is it Sibley and Forsyth at full back or Knight and Sibley in a five?

In terms of travel time, you can add Cheltenham, Wycombe, Portsmouth, MK Dons, Oxford and Burton too!
10 teams that would be quicker to get to from Cornwall than Derby is. Not bad going…
Thats about the same list as me in Glos, can add Shrewsbury too I think

Dug this old thread out, just to say well done to Fozzy.
I remember seeing him flying down the left and whipping in some terrifying crosses and thinking he was some player.
Then I saw him being given a lesson at home against Wolves and thought he was finished, likewise with the three ligament injuries.
But then he reinvents himself as a CD when needs must, with the signings of Nelson, Bradley and Elder I thought his days would be number.
But no Fozzy has re reinvented himself as a LB again and is keeping people out - assisting and scoring.
What an absolute legend, what a club man
