  1. I never said he didn't sign any technical players or doesn't play them. Every team needs some players with ability, you can't win anything with 11 cloggers. McGoldrick, Sibley, NML, Hourihane, Barkhuizen, Bird are all players he didn't sign, and he obviously can't sign a whole squad, so he's played them. He had to play McGoldrick and NML they were/are too good for the division. Bird has been sold and the others are having their contracts ran down. He often came out after games saying we had no bite or aggression in midfield when playing with Hourinhane and Bird. He has signed physical players and technical players, but you can see by the way he sets up and the way the team plays, he's swinging towards the physical side of the game. Record set piece goals is an indicator of that. Run more than the opposition first, technical stuff second. When Ward, Wilson, Nyambe all fit, Nyambe played. No one knows what type of player embleton would have been. JJ when fit, was second or third choice and CBT can hardly get a game because he's not fit enough for Warne ball.
  2. You won't find any. It's clear to anyone without an agenda that Warne prefers players who are physical, athletic and aggressive. The likes of Thomson struggle to get into the team over someone like Korey Smith, even though he's a much better player. Bird is leaving because his technical ability goes over Warne's head. And then look at someone like CBT. First half of the season he was one of the leagues better players, but suddenly we sign him and he can't get a spot - alluded to in interviews that he can't get up to pace with the squad. Not to say this approach is bad, or to make it sound negative, but why are so many people getting defensive about it when you say Warne is a physical type manager. It's clear to see through his career that's the case, and while I do think he's a little less "lump it to the fast strong forwards" than he was at Rotherham, he's not changed too much. It's evident when our most gifted technical players have left, are leaving, or are running out of contract.
  3. Don't know why people are having a go at birdy, his style of play is the antithesis of Warne's. Whilst he's the manager at the club we are going to continue to see proper footballers leave and be replaced by cloggers.
