JoetheRam got a reaction from Mihangel in Gotta love Extinction Rebellion
Meh. A few smashed windows and other criminal damage is rather insignificant compared to what will come if world leaders (and the people who elect them - in some cases) cannot come up with a plan to stop doing things that exacerbate global warming.
Sure, they could protest in a Priti Patel approved way but that kind of defeats the point of protesting.

Knives Out.
Utter s****. Just Daniel Craig talking in an annoying voice for two hours explaining away non-existant plot points about who killed an old guy who you don't care a jot about.
Fell asleep three times.
Conor Doyle, Connor Sammon and James O'Connor rolled into one.

Struggling to think of a worse side to ever visit Pride Park in honesty.
At least since 22nd March 2014 anyway.

Wrong. Churchill stood down at the end of the war and established a well regarded car and home insurance outfit.

Just got back from Aldi in Chellaston, Car park was packed...could have done with Wycombe's ?, Never seen so many folk in there, Looks like they had the same idea as me...sneak there on a Thursday when all are at work, 1st thing when I get my trolley and enter the shop is a female trying to push her way through when getting her veg, Nope not having it...I move straight on...she mumbles...excuse me...you're welcome I said ?
Fella at the biscuit isle moaning at his female partner...no get them get them, I smile and walk past, Folks just standing chatting...excuse me...oh sorry is the reply, Female with a very young child 3ish...Child screaming they want the Chocolate Santa...in the when it's gone it's gone isle, Got all my stuff paid and left, 2 women now chatting where the trollies are just outside the door...I stand there...they move as tho I should have skirted round them.
Yep it's here again...Larry David could make a 22min episode in Curb Your Enthusiasm...Merry Xmas ?

Get around paywalls on The Bellylaugh, The Times (Rupert and Financial) and Independent websites by quickly switching your device to airplane mode whilst the page is loading. Get the timing right and that article is yours to read for free.

JoetheRam got a reaction from Dimmu in World Cup Qatar
I was always taught that sport mirrors society.
When society is violent, sport is violent (see Ancient Rome). When society demands order, so to does sport (Victorian England).
It's somehow poetic that Football nowadays chooses to punish exuberant celebration and freedom of expression and let's 'gamesmanship' as you describe above escape almost unpunished. And that's without mentioning the corruption that is essentially accepted as part of the game and part of life and the cult of personality that surrounds the games key figures.
We get the sport we deserve I guess.

Non-rubbish/non overplayed Christmas songs.
