I think I could leave the forum for weeks, get married, go on my honeymoon, see Derby further strengthen their grip on second with two or three wins, and still come back to the same two or three posters trying to downplay the job Warne is doing.
Even after a hard-fought win against a direct rival where Warne clearly had the tactical edge, they are still picking faults.
    How tiresome.

Warnock would have won at least 16 of the 15 I presume😄

If we pull a Luton then for the trolls it will be in spite of warne and he needs sacking because no way could he cut it next season in the prem 😂

Just imagine if he takes us up and then starts doing well in the championship your worst nightmare 😄

This is his level. We'll go nowhere in the Championship, should we get there, with Warne and his chums. 👍

By the similar thinking the 4 rubbish teams that were relegated last season have been replaced by 2 teams challenging for the play offs, one mid table and one at the bottom. Of those 4 rubbish teams relegated last season, only one seems good enough to hold their own in the league below. That would suggest that the teams at the lower end of the table aren't as bad as last season and therefore there aren't as many 'easy' fixtures this season.
As per usual with statistics, you can usually turn them round to 'prove' a point.

Finally, some decent literature on this forum.

Can't speak for anyone else, but boy am I glad we have someone devoid of bias to temper enthusiasm.

Lets be very clear here, VAR would have taken 10mins, The goal would then be disallowed, Waghorn to be sent off and Bolton awarded a penalty.
The VAR operator one...Stuart Atwell 🙄

I've honestly lost track of who's a Derby fan and who's a Bolton fan in this thread.
Only one way to explain a team's performances over a season to someone who's not been to games. It's not Xg, or any of those stats. It's the league table.
Came home from the pub last night absolutely steaming. Mrs was well up for a bit of romance. Couldn't get little Oodle up. Absolutely limp.
I assume that still counts as getting my end away though. Ended my night on +1 expected shag, so that pretty much shows everyone how good I am in bed.
That's how stupid it Xg is.

xG is only a credible means of analysis when it shows us in a poor light. On all other occasions, it can be safely ignored.
    You're welcome! 😋

Such an important win but we have to keep going. If 90-92 points is the target, then we still need 4-5 wins. The work is far from over.
That said I am feeling very confident that we can get over the line. The character and spirit amongst Warne and the players is shining through. Three wins in a week at the business end of the season is such a strong sign.
The injuries are hitting us hard, mind you. Gayle in particular will be a big miss, but we have to hope other players will seize their chance. This could be the time for Waghorn and Blackett Taylor to step up and make their mark like Wilson did today, for instance.
Here’s hoping we can keep things going and win v Northampton and Blackpool. Going into April with 80+ points on the board would put us firmly in the driving seat for second and might even have Pompey looking over their shoulder.

Even if that is the case, Warne has us in the automatic promotion places with 7 games to go, having won plenty of games, scored plenty of goals, and conceded less than a number of the other teams in the top 7.
Soooooo relative to the difficulty of the league this season, the team is doing well…. Don’t you think?

Unreal that your only post so far today, on the back of a vital win against a promotion rival, is to scoff at the suggestion we might be doing ok. 😆

    Been a while since I looked at this year’s table to last year’s and it makes for a nice comparison in my opinion, can see on paper at least the progress we’ve made year on year. Here’s the table tonight against the same day last year and against the 1st of April 2023 by which point we’d played 39 games for anyone interested;
