  3. Seems we may have gone from tickling Marianakis love spuds and the sheep don't know what they're talking about, to possible protests to get him out and much hand wringing that they've blown more in 2 years than a medium sized countries annual GDP. Lets hope they do and he has one of his tantrums, takes anyone decent to Greece and tells them to feck off with a wage bill of 170 million a year as a gift.
  4. Yesterday
  5. Need to go to win to avoid the shitfest of GD coming into play next week, especially as Peterborough are the team that love to win by 4 or lose by 5
  6. Is that ballbag Lyle Taylor fit for them this weekend. 13k a week is bonkers for his recent record. Bet he'll be a pain in the arse though. Their captain is back in training as well who seemed to have the ball glued to his head at Pride Park.
  7. She's right. In our house we have so many TV shows that we give up on even when we are enjoying them. Narcos, Peeky Blinders, Ozark, Witcher, Boardwalk, Lost, Walking Dead, The Tourist, House of Cards, Vikings... Honestly, so many more that we just trail off them when busy and end up losing interest Breaking Bad was one that we would make time for. After a brief dip in Series 1 (that is part of the story) once it gets going again it doesn't stop. So good. I don't know if anything can live up to the hype Breaking Bad has. But I'm with your Mrs. Best thing ever. I'm starting Fallout this weekend. Was a fan of Fallout 3. The Mrs has no idea what to expect and when she saw the trailer I don't think yet another apocalyptic survival adventure excites her. She says there's too many. I say not enough. Could end up going solo on it
  8. Nationwide one tickles me, ''its not banker''

  10. From the Cambridge forum. Enough said. Bolton have had 1 poor result, wouldn't even class their form as a wobble. Yes, but their fans, certainly the online ones, are second only to Port Vale in the lunatic stakes. Only while Sheffield Wednesday remain absent.
  11. Really enjoying Shogun. One tiny gripe being that you can quickly tell the great outdoors depicted is not actually Japan. It transpires it was filmed in Canada, but that nitpick aside, it's a very good show and Cosmo Jarvis carries the lead role very well. Only a couple of episodes in and already plenty of intrigue and on the whole, it's also beautifully filmed. I hadn't realised it was adapted from a book and I confess that I've not read anything by James Clavell, so I've no idea if the screenplay is faithful to his novel, but it works well as a stand-alone project IMO. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2788316/ On Disney+
  12. Currently watching 'Kin', sort-of a Dublin version of 'Peaky Blinders;. Reminds me very much of some of the characters I used to know in Fagan's pub in Drumcondra. It just needs Bertie Ahern to walk in with Bill Clinton (actually happened when I was in the bar) and I would have been transported back to December 2000.
  13. Changing the age band for youth tickets will be annoying for the 18-19 year olds, and the cheapest kids ticket going up by over 100%. I can see why they are upset. They will be more upset when we play them, have you seen their defending from corners? We'd score about 6.
  14. Go for the win, we've had so many chances to put ourselves out of reach it's time to seize the day and put in the defining performance of the season. COYR
  15. Deep, emotional, melodramatic adverts, spanning a person's/family's life. Advertising some garbage like McDonalds or kitchen surface cleaner. My aim in life is to never watch a Xmas John Lewis advert. Still haven't. Betting adverts. Especially "it matters more when there is money on it". Advertised by presenters who work with Paul Merson shown on programmes with Paul Merson in them. Surely a slogan that should be banned. I think the only adverts I do ever see are during the cricket as they are too short to bother turning over or muting. I think the advertising that works for me is in the underground stations in London. They usually are for films/music/events etc I haven't heard of and I will actually look them up.
  16. Nothing to do with away support. The statistic refers to the total attendance at an away game, including both home and away fans. Barnsley's average home gate is below 13,000, and the game against Derby drew a total attendance of 18,332. In order to have lifted us off the bottom of the 'Highest Attendance at an away game' table, we would have had to have taken 10,000 to Barnsley. As it is, we do have the highest number of travelling fans in League 1 by some distance.
  17. You shouldn't have moved to the US. You shouldn't have moved to Cornwall. A true fan would live round the back of Frankie & Benny's, then spend every game moaning at the players, going for food at 35 mins, before leaving on the 80 min mark.
  18. I’ve lost a lot of interest in boxing since the decline of the welterweight division. The heavyweight scene peaked interest for a while but since Saudi came about the prized fighters are just holding everything up. Boxing was better when Eddie was just UK based and we had decent UK shows. His expansion into the US and move away from Sky affected UK boxing in a bad way and then the Saudi money has made it worse, despite the Matchroom/Queensbury love-in.
  19. Looks like England’s chances of getting the 5th CL spot is over now. Villa are probably the last team left in European competition after this week.
  20. No problem, at the first home game take an adjustable spanner with you 😉
  21. Seems odd as we had 5k at Barnsley
  22. I'd just like to add that I think Mousinho comes across very well and has proven to be an excellent and likeable manager. Superior to evatt, misery Ferguson and fatty Evans the convicted swindler.......
  23. Apart from Wycombe.......😉
  24. Had forgotten about the man ringing the bell. Also a man used to walk round the ground selling crisps etc used to throw him the money a d he threw your crisps back😂
  25. I did mine last month but i always worry this time of year that it hasnt gone through or somethings gone wrong and i loose my seat lol!
