I remember Dino Zoff hurling himself across his line in the first half as we peppered his goal with shots.. When we got a penalty second half the crowd went mad... Hinton never missed... usually. He hit it straight down the middle...and cleared the cross bar... disbelief in the crowd. Then big Roger Davies got sent off for slapping the nut on a Juve player who'ed been needling him all night...and the dream was over. One thing that still sticks in the mind is the Italian fans with their huge black and white chequered flags in the Columbo End. Looked out of place lol But yeah, McFarland... brilliant.
