As i understand it the signings of Bent and Weimann were planned under McClaren and 'nodded through" by the recently arrived Clement.

Most sumner window purchases take quite a while from indentification of target to being announced.

Either way it was a bad signing.

When you hit your finger with a hammer, do you privately make note & try not to do it again or do you announce your mistake to the world and the steps you will put in place to prevent doing it again?

 

Regardless of what you are saying, it's all beginning looking very similar to the shambles at the City Ground. The hap hazard hiring and firing is a telltale sign of a man losing patience. Wouldn't be surprised if MM starts looking for an out if Rowett fails to get DCFC into the PL.
