marbs_ram
Hi all. Buying a new car for family. Boiled down to choice between Toyota verso 1.6 petrol with 3 years guarantee (in spain) with all toys vs kia carens petrol 1.6 basic being 1800euros cheaper. Does anyone drive either of these and give thoughts on car and reliability. Cheers
LesterRam
Residual value will be better with Toyota, the old Kia Carens was a right old donkey, electrical faults and engine reliability issues, my good friend had one as a taxi and gave up, it shares its platform with its sister the Hyundai. Alph
Based on looks the Toyota win by KO in round
Rev
I'd recommend a vasectomy to spare further car embarrassment.

dog
Got an old style verso (ten years old) with only 52k on the clock. Drives great, toys for the kids in the back (DVD ), wife snoozes well in the front. Boot isn't huge but enough room for dog and suitcases on long journeys. Seven seats mean I can also drive my folks and kids around too. Mine's a diesel. Did beeston to stoke and back today at rapid (you would) and 50 plus miles per gallon. Wife has a Toyota too. Loves it. Dad has an auris hybrid and says it's the best car has ever had. (But for comparison has had in the past a Hillman minx and an allegro )

Animal is a Ram
Verso, easy peasy. I had the pre-cursor, an '02 Corolla Verso. Ran it into the ground, dropped dead back end of last year at 160k miles.
