If it was me with just a £1000 I'd buy from a private seller and hope it was a little old lady who only drove it on a Sunday morning to church. Bit of a rock and a hard place. For a grand you could end up forking out for repairs and have reliability issues, if poss spend a bit more and get a better car and reduce risk. Animal is a Ram Posted January 25, 2017 Share Posted January 25, 2017 The only place I can think of for that budget is Derby Car Centre, near Exeter Arms/Machine Mart - but I've been round it when I was looking for my first car, just got a bad feeling. EDM in Findern sometimes have the odd trade car in, good bunch of lads there, I've had my car serviced there a number of times, same for Burnaston Garage between Derby and Etwall.
