Carl Sagan
Listening on Radio Derby I've not heard Pearson do that before. Says they're not working hard enough and showed a lack of commitment, and got exactly what they deserved today. He's intimated there'll be a lot of changes for Tuesday. He says we're not playing with drive or commitment. That he'd normally protect his players but he can't pull the wool over people's eyes. Interestingly he talked about perhaps introducing the younger players who want to play for Derby County. He was asked if some of the players didn't want to play for him and he didn't deny it. Interesting times.
robglosta
Can't be true, he's Mahrez's uncle so of course they respect him.
TopRam
Was just about to post about this, he's stuck up for them and clearly had enough of them, like he said in a short period of time all the changes did they all get it wrong? No the players are at fault.. was just what I wanted to hear, this man will sort this squad out
BranstonRam
Just **** off pearson you absolute ****. Will someone egg his house this evening
WhiteHorseRam
Its a high risk strategy. If he plays the kids next match and we get thumped he's got nowhere to go.
brady1993
To me it sounded entirely like he was cowardly deflecting all the blame from himself. He got very defensive when anything about tactics came up and he quickly deflected to a variation of "Players aren't working hard enough".

jimbo jones
Hmm Tuesday will be interesting, he's got to do something and wholesale changes and putting the kids out is a bit last chance saloon.

Briggsy
Should be asking himself why players who finished in the top 6 last season have suddenly turned into a relegation team. Can see what the difference between this year and last year is..
ram1964
Ok players let him down, Why ? Players dont want to play gor him . Why Players not working hard enough. ,no commitment. Why? If this is the case he aint doing his job and his position is unetainable.
brady1993
Perhaps Nige, they are starting to get disillusioned having gone from promotion candidates to a relegation battle and gone from attacking controlling football to negative counterattacking. Perhaps Nige, players are little worried that the only idea the manager has at changing it is 'Work harder'.
Boycie
Well, we've failed under 3 managers so far, but it's not the players fault is it? ?
Sith Happens
In any profession if you do not get a clear direction from your manager you cannot perform to the best of your ability, simple.
Seth's left foot
Is MM willing to write off many millions of pounds to back NP's rant? This season will be a car crash if something doesn't change and NP is going about it the wrong way. Too many bottlers in that squad but the wrong type of Manager/Coach has been tasked with dealing with it.

tomsdubs
5 minutes ago, JaguarRam said: I heard it as well. Disappointed that he didn't blame himself for any of it.. Then you didn't even listen to it, he said the team is a reflection of him as a manager and he has to share the blame.

brady1993
Just now, Boycie said: Well, we've failed under 3 managers so far, but it's not the players fault is it? ? Under three managers we failed to get promoted but were always in the hunt. Under Pearson we will fail to stay in the league.
