Lovely beer - dirt cheap in supermarkets in Belgium and Holland too - and by dirt cheap we are talking €1-20 a bottle. My Observer Book of Pissheads* says that it's Brewed by Brouwerij Bosteel from a little place called Buggenhout, situated between Ghent and Brussels. The name and the recipe comes from the local Carmelite monastery - and the recipe is over 300 years old.
