Going to include the U18s for ease as many will play in U21 games. Unfortunately I'm struggling to find sound information on contracts, please refer to the contract thread for any that may be on there. It seems like most places put placeholder contract end dates (usually the 30th June on various years)

U21s:

Farrend Rawson(ENG) - Defender (CB) - 11/07/1996

Callum Guy(ENG) - Midfielder (CM/AM/DM) - 25/11/1996

Timi-Max Elsnik(SVN) - Midfielder (CM/AM/RM) - 29/04/1998

Alefe Santos(BRA) - Midfielder (RM/RW/RB) - 01/03/1995

Mason Bennett(ENG) - Forward (S/RW/LW) - 15/09/1996

Offrande Zanzala(COG) - Forward (S) - 13/12/1997

Charles Vernam(ENG) - Midfielder (AM/CM/RW) - 08/10/1996

Ethan Wassall(ENG) - Defender (CB) - 01/01/1999 (only mention of his DoB was on some random website, and 01/01 makes me suspicious of its authenticity)

Alex Cover(ENG) - Defender (CB) - 22/09/1997

Calum Macdonald(ENG) - Defender (LB) - ??

Kyron Stabana(ENG) - Defender (LB/RB) - 27/08/1998

Kellan Gordon(ENG) - Forward (S/LW/RW) - ??

Alex Babos(ENG) - Forward (S) - 21/1/1998

Tom Mellors(ENG) - Forward (S) - ??

Emil Riis Jakobsen(DEN) - Forward (S) - 24/06/1998

Henrich Ravas(SVK) - Goalkeeper - 16/08/1997

Luke Thomas(ENG) - Forward (S) - ??

U18s:

Josh Barnes - Goalkeeper - ??

Matt Yates - Goalkeeper - ??

Harry Goode - Defender - ??

Joseph Bateman - Defender/Midfielder - ??

Giann Magno(ENG/PHL) - Midfielder - 10/01/1999

Jahvan Davidson-Miller - Forward - ??

Micah Edwards(ENG) - Forward (S) - 04/05/1999

Lewis Walker(ENG) - Forward (S) - ??

Sorry it's not as inclusive as you'd had hoped @Rampage but there isn't a miriad of information on these lads. Especially the U18s, unless they make profiles of themselves.

The Mark of Zanzala, Offrande

He's fast but don't drink brandy

If Martin's out, he's very handy

His name is Zanzala, Ofrande

-----------------------------------------

There's only one Zanzala, Ofrande,

At scoring goals, he's very handy,

Some poems can be very rhymy

Some are not

--------------------------------------------

There's only one Ofrande Zanzala

He's never played in Wales for Bala

Came second in our swimming Gala

Has a tele tubby friend called Lala

There's only one Ofrande Zanzala

---------------------------------------------

To the tune of "Kum ba yah":

Zanzala, Offrande ... Zanzala

Zanzala, Offrande ... Zanzala

Zanzala, Offrande ... Zanzala

Offrande Zanzala

Keeping it simple and he'd like it as his interviews are always very Christian and this is African Christian song. I'm sure everyone knows it, but just in case here's a very scary video so you get the point:

When do we move out of 'interest in the U18s' and venture towards 'stalker' territory?

When they stop having a hazy grey area between who they categorise as U21 and U18 (squads dont seem to actually be seperate, there's only a few players listed as U18s).

Under 21 forward / wide players: Mellors, Vernam, Walker, Zanzala, Jacobson, Luke Thomas and Gordon. Keeping the likes of Colero and Kwame Thomas would I imagine have hindered their progress.

Also interesting to note that of the under 21 players for next season. 10 will be 1st year professionals, 6 will be 2nd year professionals (if you include Max Lowe) and 2 will be 3rd year professionals. So it's a very young side.

Should Alefe Santos be included as he now becomes an overage player? And being pedantic, Jamie Hanson would qualify as our 3rd 3rd year professional.

You'd also think that Derby would be trying to loan out the likes of Rawson, Bennett, Zanzala and Vernam. Then the average age of the squad becomes even younger, consisting of 10 1st year professionals and 4 second year professionals.

Quite amazing statistics, smiths_tavrn.

Being able to compete with players who are older is a great sign that they will be very good players.

ÍBV 0 Víkingur 3  Charles Vernam (they call him Charlie) started the game in his usual position from what i can gather,

attacking midfield.  He got fouled once early in the game quite briskly but was okay.  Reading between the lines of the in game text he is getting bullied off the ball quite often.  Perhaps needs to toughen up if he is to handle this sometimes rough league where skill is nice but grit is important.  Got subbed on 81 minutes.

How long has the academy been going? In the teens of years I'd guess. Despite it being much vaunted, it's only produced (correct me if I've missed someone) 3 players of any note: Huddlestone, Hendrick and Hughes. Time for it to start delivering.

If he hadn't been injured, Giles Barnes reminds me very much of Dele Alli. With his ability to score a steady supply of wonder goals, he was an even better academy product than Hughes.

Hughes is England's 2nd youngest ever U21 international. Huddlestone was the best passer in the country and an England international. Hendrick is already a regular for the Republic and will play a big role for them this summer in the euros.

We haven't benefited properly financially from selling academy graduates, but Huddlestone came through during the era of the three amigos so they did the dodgy deal with Spurs and shafted the club. I'm disappointed we weren't able to generate a fee for Calero (and maybe even Thomas as an England U20 international) instead of simply releasing them.

I've never understood why we don't sell these players in January, we must know the if we are keeping them on. If not sell them for a nominal fee to a smaller team, Notts county, Mansfield, burton (although not now) and stick a 50% sell on fee on them. If they make it great if not we haven't lost anything.

Derby County have snapped up teenage Swedish prospect Fuseine Rashid.

The AFC United attacker, 16, will sign formally for Derby next month.

"Fuseine had gone down to Derby a few times and he really enjoyed how well they took care of him," AFC sports director Azad Budak told the club's website.

AFC have announced Rashid will remain with them until June 22 before he moves onto Derby.

Promising forward I've heard. Good news.
