SaintRam Posted November 6, 2015 Share Posted November 6, 2015 I think it's important not to get stuck in the past and Derby's more "successful " years - while they do need to be included I don't think we should ignore current players due to potential "awkwardness" as between this current squad and the last time we were in the prem (ignoring Billy Davies tenure completely, which I don't think has any potential candidates anyway) we were pretty drab. Other than the odd exception (Idiakez, for example) We have a striker who's on course for 3 20+ goal seasons, one of the most loved players I've seen at Derby in Buxton and while Hughes is injured we also have him, a player who's been an ever present (and also generally considered one of our best players in almost every game) for 3 years. Bryson has won player of the year twice. Thorne hasn't played enough to warrant consideration but he at least deserves an honorary mention just for the sheer size of his transfer thread.
